Great steaks and sides and service was excellent. The interior was much nicer than I expected. It looked quite dated from the outside with photos of food and the signage but inside it was really nice. See less

As you would expect a good steak. You can get pork ribs and lamb chops as well so a home for carnivores. Post COVID the staff are polite and efficient. Good wine list and a pleasant experience. See less

Wife ordered grilled salmon with creamy sauce and I ordered the T-bone steak with pepper sauce and baked potato side dish. Entrees were baked mushrooms with feta cheese. I had a shiraz and she had a non-alcoholic drink. The baked mushrooms were excellent. I recommend it if you like mushrooms. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Creamy sauce though wasn't to her liking. T-bone steak was a little disappointing. I ordered medium well which was cooked fine. But it was still really tough. It had zero fat that's why it was bland and not juicy. Staff was excellent. Wait time for the mains took awhile but not that bad especially if you're there for a leisurely dinner and not in a rush to go somewhere else. See less

The steak and baked potato was cooked nicely ( charcoal grill) which has a unique taste . Well worth the value . Service was great also as staff helped to choose and explain the different cuts of steak available. Great taste and service . Recommend. See less

Arrived at our booking time but our table was still occupied so they asked us to wait and take a seat outside. Outdoor tables weren't clean from previous patrons so we stood. Nearly 15 minutes later we were seated. Partners drink and our entree came within 10 minutes of ordering but my drink didn't arrive until another 20 minutes later after asking the waiter. Our mains took an hour after ordering and when they finally arrived we weren't given steak knives and had to flag down a waiter to get these. Food was nice- steak was full of flavour and chips were good. Calamari was tender and well cooked. Offered desserts but given it took so long for mains to come out we couldn't be bothered waiting (and our 2 hour time slot was pretty much up). Not sure if we will be rushing back See less

Wait staff were lovely. Food was very impressive. Absolutely stuffed after entree and main. Atmosphere and environment was really nice and trendy, however we were seated between two already occupied tables and were clearly not 1.5m apart. As more people arrived, it became clear that social distancing was nonexistent. This did make us feel uncomfortable and didn’t stay long. If I saw improvements here I would love to go back and would definitely recommend to others. See less

I usually come down to Squires Loft when I’m down at our holiday house. We’ve only been here a few times but it has never failed to disappoint. The service is on point and the staff are very welcoming. The food is great and you will never be left hungry. The menu has a variety of options and you can choose between many meals. Highly recommend you give Squires Loft a try as they have the best steak. See less

Family of four with 2 growing boys. And we had a brilliant night out. Owner Siller was the perfect host to all of his guests but still had time to make us feel special. The burger on the kids menu was huge ! Very good value. The steaks were great but the ribs recommended by Siller were a showstopper. Simply brilliant and the meat simply melted off the ribs. Unbelievable. My eldest son who is a fussy eater ordered a second serve ! Staff were great - and our waitress in particular was a standout - the best table service I have received in years. Left her a massive tip because she deserved it. Well done young lady. We're locals; we love the place; we'll book in advance next time. But can highly recommend. See less

I have visited many of The Squire Loft's in Melbourne over the last 25 years starting with the South Yarra restaurant. Mornington was a great night out for my wife and. Good steak and calamari as always. Same great food as always. The service was excellent. The thing that really stood out was how all the staff seem to be a team. If you are a carnivore this is a great place to visit. One thing I did mention to our waitress was when booking it asked me where I wanted to sit and as I have never been there u did not know what to expect. I suggested a gallery on the website so first timers would get an idea of where they can sit. I chose downstairs and it was great. Keep serving the good food. See less

Really good and perfectly cooked steak. The service was excellent. We were greeted at the door by warm and friendly staff members and looked after well during the evening. Unlike most restaurants i found the seating to be really comfortable and the table was spacious. Really good first impressions that was matched by the food. Sensational we had the rib eye and eye fillet streaks perfect. The sauces were terrific pepper corn and jalapeño sauces. The feta mushrooms were amazing along with the salad. Seating and dining experience was great along with terrific service even if they were super busy. A great dinner out. See less
