Food was great really enjoyed our time. Location was okay, Richmond type restaurant. Coffee was good. We booked, but I dont think you need to book before going in. The only problem were the waitresses, they forgot our orders! After 45 min I asked what is going on, they said its coming, then I saw them talking to eachother and it seemed they forgot our order!, we did not receive ANY apology for delay! we arrived at 11 and were served at 12! they just told us thanks for the patient we are busy that is why it took 1 h to serve! They were not very busy and many people around us came after us and left, we were still waiting for our food! our coffee arrive after 50 minutes! Also we asked for extra toast, took 7 min to bring! they were not short in staff, the waitresses didnt really care! I go to lots of restaurants and these things happens! I understand that, but at least be honest! See less

The breakfast salad was delicious. It was made with the perfect mix of greens including asparagus, broccolini and kale and pan friends salmon. I shared the waffles with my friend which was the perfect sweet treat for a Friday afternoon cheat meal! St James has the best coffee in Richmond hands down. Will definitely visit again. See less

This was a nice little find for brunch. The kitchen was just about to close (around 3pm) but they were nice enough to accommodate us. We had the breakfast salad which was a pan fried salmon dish and it was delicious, highly recommend. The presentation was gorgeous and portion size was great! We sat inside and it could of done with some fans or air con as it was a hot day that day. When we got the bill there was an additional service charge added which we didn’t expect. The service was good though. All in all an enjoyable experience. See less

What you should order: shakshuka and coffee! • Review: This cafe is so value for money - if you have @entertainmentau voucher, you score a 25% off. I would also come back even without the discount, which speaks volumes about this place! Plenty of customers kept streaming in this beautiful and busy cafe, and we were fortunate to immediately get a table. Location is probably a factor - this cafe is located along Bridge Road which is home to plenty of gyms! Some memorable moments from our brunch here: 1. ☕️ I am always a fan of places that roast their own coffee beans, and St James is one of them. Usually good brunch comes at the expense of average coffee, but that does not apply here. Was v happy with my flat white! 2. 🍳 the shakshuka egg was legit for many reasons. Main factor - I wasn’t charged extra to add chorizo because this version comes with lamb meatballs. The shakshuka itself was amazing - wish they gave more bread to soak up the delicious sauce. My partner told me this was one of the better shakshukas he’s had in a while and I must agree 3. 🦀 I went with one of their specials - a soft shell crab croissant Benedict. Couldn’t fault the freshness of the soft shell crab, and the portions were generous too. Thought the green hollandaise sauce was a bit more watery but otherwise I enjoyed the dish! Really enjoyed our visit to St James, I'm not usually one to go for the healthy route, but the food here is so good! Definitely coming back for some brioche French toast with the poached pear. Staff are also super lovely and enjoyed the vibes & atmosphere. See less

Perhaps I've ordered the wrong items on the menu coz they look pretty average. But looking around at what other people are having, man they looked good. I had the primal eggs and the baked eggs. Best thing about the primal eggs was that chili jam. Super amazing. The slice of beef that came along with the dish was rather....small. coffee is good. Nice brick wall for profile pictures. See less
