Delayed in posting this. Essentially I had a very bad issues with my sub, I purchased took to work, unwrapped to find this issue. When I called the store I was told that they were sorry and the issue was an accident, they agreed to give me a credit for a free sub based on the phone call. (I was happy with this and seemed reasonable) the next day I received a voicemail from a male identifying himself as the store manager. On that voicemail he advised they had reviewed CCTV in relation to my complaint about my sub and if I couldn’t prove the issue with photos they would not be providing a credit. While I didn’t not take photos the issue was observed by two of my coworkers.
I understand that stores like these have issues being scammed for free items, I accept this and I don’t have a problem being challenged about my issue. The issue I have is:
A, the problem I identified was a HUGE issue regarding their food handling processes. I did not make a huge fuss because I have worked in this industry and understand a simple issue can have huge flow on implications.
B, the manager who I spoke too had already solved the issue from a customers point of view. I believe I was very reasonable given the seriousness of my issue. Then the “store manager” reversed that decision and essentially accused me of falsifying information to get a free sub.
From experience I am fairly sure this Subway is part of a group of stores in Tuggeranong owned/managed by a family. Based on this experience I will never be back and I will be actively sharing my story and encouraging people not to eat at these stores. See less
