Today we left Subway Marcoola feeling very saddened for a junior team member. She was clearly very new possible the first or second shift. When we arrived she was on her hands and knees hunched over scrubbing the grout in the tiles in the main entrance. She was asked to come and make our subs which she was very unsure of and was left with no help or guidance. We then sat to eat and she was told to go back to the scrubbing. We were there for 30 minutes and she was on her knees with no knee support hunched over and scrubbing. She wasn’t given any cleaning gloves to wear and it was clearly hurting her back as she kept getting up to stretch it. This just seems so cruel and we all felt so sorry for her as the other 2 team members were talking. I understand cleaning is apart of the job but I feel she is not learning the food skills she needs while on the floor scrubbing grout all shift. Not to mention the workplace safety of her positioning and hands in the cleaning products without protection. If this was my daughter I would be furious that this was her initial experience in a new job. This should have been a time for education and food prep skills. See less

Poorly run during the Sunday lunch rush (15/12) with no common sense of customer priority with one girl just cutting up bread whilst the other served a store full of customers. Very unfriendly staff who did not seem to care about the 15 minute wait caused for each customer. See less

The toaster was broken, which was really dissapointing as the fact that my subs are hot was the best part. And I have found things in my subs that I didn't order numerous times. See less

best subway I've been to! the majority of the negative reviews seem to revolve around unreliable opening hours, but I visited during midday so I can't comment on that. the ladies who work there are very lovely and upbeat and the subway was great. See less

Opening/closing hour times need to be changed on door of establishment and google. Pretty unprofessional for such a big business. Door says open at 7am, google says 8am. Got here at 8am, but doors are locked with staff inside still setting up. Not sure if this is bad management or what, but I'll be getting in touch with higher ups. Really sucks because I've had a few good subs here in the past. See less

I'm generally one to only put up positive comments on reviews, on the odd occasion that I do comment. But when you serve me mouldy wraps ( the exact thing my son is allergic to) then we have a problem. Your lucky u don't have a Facebook page and I can't post these photos. I will however find a way to take this further as this could of place my son into anaphylaxis. Lucky My son asked me to take it out of the wrapping for him See less

SUBWAY why keep your store open until 9pm when your customer walks in at 8.36pm and told your closed. Clearly marked on the door 9pm closing time. I was staying at the Ramada resort opposite and checked out the closing time earlier in the day so planned to turn up before closing. The one girl working there had already cleaned up the work station and all foodstuffs packed away. Obviously knocking off early. If you dont have the clientele at that time of night then close much sooner and save some cash on paying your staff. Not happy.. See less
