This Restaurant, has the best Chinese Food in Mornington. We have been coming here for over 15 yrs. The food is always delicious, and consistent. Prices very rarely change. Quality of food and size of the meals are the best in town for value and taste. Definitely recommend Chefs Special "Ginger fish", and Lemon Chicken.....I must say though, order everything, it is all Amazingly Delicious 10/10. See less

My family and friends are regulars here, the food is amazing and they never disappoint with their amazing assortment of Chinese dishes. Garlic prawns are my favorite. We always either share or go the banquet A. Friendly staff and you can BYO if you want. See less

For a quiet strip restaurant in Mornington on a Sunday night there's no reason to go past Sun & Mei. It seats 25 but don't be deterred, this is definitely worth the stop. The décor and feel is that of nostalgic 90s family dining out. The chicken soup a classic favourite was full of flavour and warmth, just what's needed on a cold evening, and the Szechuan Beef, was the perfect balance of flavour, chili, heat, and quality. Sizzle plates fill the room and happy diners everywhere, from the large family party at the back to the young family next to us and the couple on the other side of the room. I suggest you also try the deep fried ice-cream, a fan favourite. If you're in Mornington or the Peninsula area this is a place definitely worthwhile, quality food and quality service. If you cant eat in there's always take-away. We'll be coming back soon for sure See less

Today my wife and i went and ordered pick up from here, it was the best Chinese food i have ever tasted in a long time, we ordered a serve of steam dim sims, a serve of pork beef and chicken and veggies, a prawn omelette, i small special fried rice, it was beautiful right down to the steam dim sims. Service is a bit hit and miss at times but waitresses are friendly. Decor is dated. However the food and cheap pricing makes up for it (a group of us ate here for less than $20 each, which is rare these days). Personal favourites are the crispy pork and fried rice! See less

Absolutely awful! there were 5 of us, all ordered different dishes and every one of us were up all night with cold sweats, and rushing to the toilet... one of was our son 5 years old, up all night crying in pain. Would not normally complain as everyone and everything have off nights, but the fact everyone one of us got sick, from completely different meals is just proof enough that the place itself can not be trusted. I'd give this place a 3.5 stars. The waiting area is super run down, tattered looking and dirty. The eating area is clear er but looks old and desperately needs a quick make over. The fried starters are very greasy, almost boggles the mind by how much so. The food is rather yum for the most part. The seafood dishes are not worth the cost by any means. Sticking with the classics of Singapore noodles, fried rice, chicken, pork and beef dishes. Take away. And you will leave with a happy smile. See less

Awesome little family-run restaurant with incredibly lovely staff and owners! Food and drinks are very reasonably priced and portions are generous. Big fan of their fried rice, deep fried whitebait fish as a starter and you can't go wrong with the crispy pork. Their lemon chicken is pretty phenomenal too! Takeaway is available and they take reservations! If you're looking for a place to eat down in Mornington, you should definitely pay Sun & Mei a visit. See less
