Consistently top quality sushi. There is a soft shell crab soy paper roll which is to die for. They usually only have one available whenever I come by, so I always nab it. Now that the word is out I might not be so lucky... See less

As usual amazing food at great prices. Staffing just a bit off. Had to ask for table to be cleaned, chopsticks to be given and chased up food that didn’t come out. We will still be back as food is sooo good. See less

Don’t know what’s happened here. Come here regularly But today’s experience was poor at best. After 15 minutes of waiting to place an order ( and being ignored by the two staff employed to do so) I finally had to approach the waitress to ask if I could please place an order ( she was texting on her phone in full view of the two occupied tables for most of my stay). My dish was old, dry and the rice undercooked and the fish past it’s best. Not my best experience here. I hope this isn’t a permanent change but just a glitch on the radar See less

Was an amazing place years ago. Although the past 4 or 5 times I have been here the service has fallen greatly. Currently sitting here waiting for a Bento Box take away order for the past 40 minutes. I have seen other people arrive be seated, served pay their bills and out the door in this time. Same thing happened last time I ordered take away from here. Becoming very disappointed and will be chasing my Japanese takeaway location after this past experience. See less

The quality of the food is great, service is quick. The price is decent for the portion size. Only minus is that the place can get very crowded. Sushi wasn’t as fresh but the rice is excellent. See less

The food is tasty and all at very affordable prices. However the hi sushi in town for me seems to have better quality and taste of food. Staff are friendly. Fast service - Our food came out relatively quickly considering the place was packed which was good. See less

Hi Sushi Waurn Ponds, whilst not as good as it's sister store in Malop St, is a cheap and delicious eat. I have eaten here many times and the food is consistently good. My biggest problem is their rice, which is often not very good either in the sushi or their main courses. The main attraction here are their meat/tofu dishes, which are a delight. See less
