We went for lunch. Service was 5 star, food was reasonably but was disappointed with the Peking duck (dried). Kids loved the dumplings and wonton was good. I'd like to go back and try other dishes. See less

Worst restuarant rude staff ordered for pickup arrived after 15 mins from the time the staff gave me for pick up had to wait 30 mins the staff didnt even acknowledge the issue and were very rude and the food was cold and rubbish wont recommend it go anyone See less

Tried out this place for the first time because our regular dumpling joint had a 1.5h wait time. We ordered some different dumplings and the "Beef fried noodles with vegetables". Okay so the dumplings were yummy. No complaints. But the noodles!! In the entire serving had LITERALLY only 2 pieces of beef! Like literally only 2 small pieces! And the "with vegetables" meant onion and 2 pieces of boc choy.....that's it. Nothing else!? How is onions and 2 pieces of boc choy considered "with vegetables"?! The entire dish was literally 99% noodles....sigh. Anyways if you're wanting solid dumplings, give this place a shot. But don't order outside of that. See less

Nothing special here. The dumplings taste a bit bland unless you get them deep fried and covered in sauce...by themselves, they have no flavour. Their veggies are carelessly prepared leaving you with HUGE stems that are hard and chewy to eat with not much of the leafy part to eat...really strange! At home, it's usually the part you throw out because it's too hard to eat. Their deep fried stuff tends to be satisfactory though. Overall, an average experience for average food and slightly overpriced. Staff seemed indifferent; not overly welcoming but not rude either. There are better places to go in the area. Sad because before lockdown, they standard was much higher. See less

We have eaten here before and been impressed however have ordered takeaway twice now for delivery and both times have been disappointing. The dumplings arrive soggy and the beef noodle dish had two tiny pieces of beef in it - clearly trying to bulk with noodles and be cheap. Disappointing given they have the ability to serve tasty food. Would recommend eating in but not take away. See less

Had it last week here in early December 2020. Ordered pork dumplings is great taste and juicy. Love it when u can taste gingers flavor in the dumpling stuffing make it tastier. The braised pork belly pot was an awesome ...the pork cuts nicely cubicle rectangle and most importantly is the fats and leans are so balanced the taste or simply put 35% fats perfect for this pork belly dish. And is best to served with rice to eat it together. The little dragon steamed buns....well....not really much to say..just an ok only. See less

10/10 for bringing the dumpling joy into Northcote, badly needed ... thank you! Although it's becoming like a monster franchise with South Yarra, Camberwell and Northcote restaurants are now serving Melbournians, they do serve good dumplings, definitely value for money ... coupled with good and reasonable wines and attentive, very pleasant service, what could go wrong ... since its opening night, we, about 24 of us go here every month is a testament to their food and service. Again, thank you for bringing the dumpling joy to Northcote. JT-May 2019. See less
