Had the most fantastic birthday dinner here with friends. Easy to book and they checked in about dietary requirements. The staff were friendly and attentive and the drinks were great. The food was PHENOMALLY GOOD. We all thought the chef's selection was the best way to feed a larger group and were delighted to not have to worry about figuring out what and how much to order. I’ve been to Taquito a few times and every single time it has delivered! Amazing starters and great mains with some of the best Tacos I’ve had in my life. Wait staff are always friendly and happy to recommend dishes or a cheeky shot of tequila to wash it all down. See less

Start off with the crispy tortillas and guacamole, try the pescado on a soft freshly made taco, and finish with a meringue pie with burnt corn husks. Ask Jake for a fresh wine recommendation. We had a blanco garnache from Catalan, fruit, lemons& crisp. This little taquitos in Carlton is a worthy stop for a little adventure in Mexican food. See less

Great food from the small bites and tacos through to the mains. The staggered delivery of food is great too so you get to enjoy it all without feeling rushed. Staff are really lovely and fun and the drinks are ace. A cool vibe, good music and worth every penny. See less

Have been to Taquito once and the food was amazing. Though I have tried to go again a few times including tonight as a walk-in as there were three tables out to the front that didn’t have reserved signs on them, only to hear from the door guy that there was a 90min wait. If you can’t fill empty tables, it’s better etiquette not having them. The music was blasting into the streets too, well beyond general restaurant ambience. To those who are attracted passers by, expect to not get a table on a weekend. See less

Our family of four ate here and we were all totally blown away! The food is seriously good! We had the set menu because we wanted try a bit of everything and we were not disappointed! My daughter, whose birthday we were celebrating declared that she wants to have her wedding here! We will definitely be frequenting this place again! See less

Located in Carlton is this gorgeous Mexican gem 🤍 What we had: 🌽 BBQed sweet corn 🥵 Twice Fried Potatoes 💕 Tacos: braised beef, baja crispy fish, chorizo, baja avocado ✨ Guacamole de la abuelita with totopos 🥑 Highlights of the meal included the twice fried potatoes, even though they were soaked in sauce they were incredibly crispy! The corn was epic and had an unreal kick to it 🌶 The tortilla chips and tortillas used for the tacos are both made in house so you get the ultimate treatment- nothing was a let down. What a fabulous place. From the minute we arrived and taken through the menu, we knew it was going to be great. Friendly service is easy to deliver yet hard to find, not the case at Taquito. A big shout out to Wanita who was fabulous with her suggestions. The corn was just like the street style in Mexico, amazing. Great margaritas and a mezcal style margarita was special. Tacos are a must and they have a great selection. Love this place and we will be back again. See less

Amazing Mexican food. The cerviche kingfish sashimi with habanero dressing along with the plantain was excellent. The beetroots with mole was sublime, the scallops were dressed in a beautiful corn spicy sour sauce. The two tacos (fish and moradillo sausage) were amazing. The flan was excellent, churros and corn cake were excellent. Would recommend this place as a value grunge (like Kaprica) type restaurant! See less

Fantastic meal - the four taco flight is perfect for a quick sampling of the menu - the fish taco is amazing and the ox tongue is surprisingly delicious. The chips with guacamole were pretty tasty too. We also had a couple of great cocktails. If you are after a fancy Mexican meal, this is the place. See less
