Dear readers, as we enter this stunningly authentic Thai restaurant, the decor we are greeted with instantly transport us to lands far away, and we know a taste sensation awaits us.
You have the choice at this amazing restaurant to either sit in a stunning sunken table, or a more Western style table setting. I my and my dear friends sat at a sunken table, I felt so authentic. LoL's the colour scheme of the booths is so very shrinking deep marones, with fanned style napkin. Truly the most cutest of arrangements.
As you have made yourself comfy, the serving staff are not immediately jumping on you. My friend and I were able to settle in and started chatting, long before the serving staff very unobtrusively came to us to ask if we wanted any drinks. The serving staff are truly exemplary at Thai Orchid.
But dear readers lets get to the food, oh my, oh my, within Thai food I have two weaknesses roti bread, and Tom Yum, and Tom Ka soup. And the Tom Yum soup at the Thai Orchid is divine. As the first taste explodes across your palette the deep flavours of lemongrass, ginger, and slight tingle of chilli cause your taste buds to dance, dance, dance. 😁
As the meal went on, I decided that I would have a dessert, the name of the dessert eludes me, but it was a fresh bananas that were cooked in coconut milk with a dash of sugar and toasted sesame seeds, oh bless my socks. I have never tasted anything so damn good, similarly sweet and creamy, with a velvet texture that blew my mind. Yuuuuuuuummmmmmm.
And I would like to mention a young lady of the serving staff, whom laughed with my dear friends and I as I showed funny tic tocks. For the young woman laughed with us, and told us a great story of why Tick Tock is banned at their school.
All in all my dear readers, if a true and wonderful Thai experience is what you desire, look no further. 10/10. See less
