Exceptionally poor experience ... stopped with two others for coffee & cake. Their display case showed some good sized chocolate mousses, in plastic containers, for $11.95 - perhaps a bit expensive, but it was quite a large serving and I was hungry. Anyway, it comes to the table in a glass which contained at most just half the quantity that was on display, topped with approximately the same amount of whipped cream (which looked to be the sort that comes out of a pressurised can). Apart from the vastly diminished serving of actual mousse compared to what was on display, I can't eat whipped cream, so took it back to the counter. The person there refused to exchange the dessert or make any other change or offer to the order - he just kept saying that was the way they served it and nothing could be done about it. I then handed the dessert back - he took it and simply turned his back on me to attend to other matters. I was absolutely gobsmacked - can't recall the last time that I not only had such appalling customer service from a shop, but also at the way they misrepresented the serving quantity and effectively 'cheat' the customer.
The drinks were good, and we continued to sit outside for 10-15 minutes finishing them, during which time the counter person made no effort to more positively address the fact that they'd taken my money for a dessert which did not at all resemble what was on display, and which I could not eat. Sadly, my wife's chocolate brownie which she had ordered, while matching what was on display, was - she told me - quite stale, and for some time afterward she had a stomach ache from eating it.
Will never, never go back to this shop again! See less
