Great gastronomic and service experience, worth the wait for patronage; gold for Gosford. Recommend kingfish; cooked to perfection with a beautiful fusion of flavours and textures...would have to say the best seafood dish ever eaten and there has been many; right here in our own backyard! roast chicken described as 8/10; desserts (blackberry mousse and cheesecake selection, decadent) with mocktails a great starter; waitress welcoming, bright, and attentive, timings perfect...great evening 16/3/2022...we will be back and highly recommend. Went here for 'Bottomless Brunch' for my friends birthday on Friday and we were appalled. We all work in the hospitallity industry, and for such a beautiful place, I would be embarrased to serve that standard of food, and deliver that standard of service. We paid over $360 fo a whole chicken, some chips and some wilted lettuce covered in cheese.. it was a red rooster quater chicken and chips meal that was way over priced. We were given jugs of 'bellini' which consisted of bottom grade champagne mixed with strawberry syrup, and were told we couldnt get another one or order a different drink until the jug was finished, even though the bottom half of the jug was thick syrup that nobody wanted. My friend (the birthday girl) had one glass and her vegitarian option (lentils covered in curry powder) and was sick for the rest of the night. No one came to ask us how we were, no one was even smiling. we were the only table in so there is really no reason for that service. The bottomless brunch menu that we viewed online was completely different to the day. Even the platter to start only came with three pices of bread for 5 people. not great. When we told the waitstaff about our experience we were offered no help except for a 'complimentary cocktail' for the birthday girl, which was added to the bill and we paid for. Appalling. See less

Great atmosphere, venue and run very efficiently. Entree Focaccia was great. Mains were good, lentil dish could use rice or bread with it. High cost for the spaghetti dish, which is quite simple. Desserts were amazing. Cocktails were also well presented. See less

Vegetarian spaghetti was not great - over cooked and sauce was not tasty. Would prefer al dente. Reminds me of canned spaghetti. Pickled beets salad tasted like it came straight from a can. Especially the sliced peaches. Either that was the case or they’ve been pickled for too long or too much sugar was added. Hospitality could have been improved if an alternative salad was offered to compensate for our distaste. Rainbow trout was comparatively better. Enjoyed the Mac ‘n’ cheese bites. The venue is lovely and the staff are kind. See less

Lovely decor and attentive staff - however I was extremely disappointed with the food. Ordered the vegetarian spaghetti - the serving size was a joke considering it was a main meal for $22. The flavour was bland - reminded me of a spaghetti dish someone would make for a small child that doesn’t enjoy flavour. See less

Went here for New Year's Eve Dinner. We loved the late booking options. It was a set menu with delicious choices to suit most people and reasonably priced. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience of venue was great. Live music was awesome. Unfortunately they seemed short staffed so the wait for food was very long...took over an hour for our entrees to come, then another hour for our mains. We booked a booth however this was not available when we arrived so we were seated elsewhere. The staff were great. The Mocktails are way over priced, poorly presented - really just a glass of mixed juice. Overall an enjoyable experience considering we were not in a rush, we will return if the opportunity arises. Night started out well. Food was good, no complaints but didn’t really live up to its hype. Had the salmon which was well cooked. Staff was friendly to begin with, knowledgeable of the specials. Once our mains came out, the service went downhill. We wanted dessert but when the waitress finally came to our table, she gave us the menu and then told us that our table was reserved for another booking in five minutes and we had to make our way to the bar to order and eat our desserts. I didn’t think we had even been there for 2 hours, but maybe we had, and the place wasn’t actually full either. We went to the bar - couldn’t find a menu, when asked, was rudely pointed to another bar area for menu/order. We went to order and was told to go to the other side of bar to order. When we got there, the same bar tender (who had just told us to meet him at the other side of the bar) then told us that we could order drinks but not desserts from him so to go to the back bar. When we walked past our table to get to this other bar, our original table was actually empty, so we were booted off for nothing. Having said that, the lemon meringue dessert was good, although the cocktail I had was pretty average. Disappointed. See less

Awesome place to stop by for a feed or drink when you're in Gosford City. They have a nice dining area in booths, chilled lounge area, and a Sports Bar. Really stylish and relaxing, catering to those looking for a quick cold drink while waiting for a bus, or a more substantive meal. See less

I've been to the Bon a few times and enjoyed a fine dining experience with great cocktails and exceptional service. Pricy but very nice. Our work Christmas party tonight was not up to the usual standard unfortunately. I waited 25 minutes for my first cocktail and only received it when I enquired as to it's whereabouts. It would never have appeared otherwise. 1.5 hours after our arrival the appetisers finally came out. The prawns looked pretty (I don't eat them) but the cheese burger tacos were odd. 2 hours after our arrival mains started to come out. Can't say the braised pork belly and fancy baked beans was a dish I'd eat again. I left most of mine. The chicken (which I missed out on) looked OK, but I must point out that the half chook serving size was disproportionate to the pork belly. As it was an alternate drop menu I understand the need to accept what's given, but I had to grab a bite on the way home from a $60 meal of beans. Not something I would normally need to do after a night at The Bon. Timing, service and food was not what I've come to expect. Disappointing 😞 See less

My husband and I went to the Bon to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We both ordered the scotch fillet steak with gravy, fries and salad. The salad was just leaves, the fries were basic. My steak was chewy and gristly, I even had to ask for a sharper knife to cut the steak! Also unfortunately I put the gravy on mine and the gravy was super salty. It was as though the chef spilt the salt in it. I could not finish mine. We told the waitress and no comment came from her. 😡 We certainly will not recommend this restaurant and will definitely not be back. See less

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent place to eat. We had the eye fillet and the salmon, they delicious and were cooked to perfection. Love the atmosphere and decor, really impressed. Very nice service 👍 But the food was SO average. The pizza bread with the salsa topping was too cold and I couldn't even finish the stale bread, I understand it's coming from the display counter, but still, expected something more fresh and edible. The avo smash was much nicer, fresh and toasted. The fries were ok, not more than ok. Came with regular mayo on the side. My juice was more like a smoothie, called the Green Machine, and it came out like a baby puree. Couldn't finish it, not likely to come back. I can't rate this place any higher I'm afraid. See less
