Stopped off after the beach just by chance as we were heading back home down east link … amazing fish n chips . Fish so crispy , nothing was greasy would drive back down again just for the food See less

Normally alright. We always order 2 fried flake and min chips. Got home to find they had mixed up our order. Ended up with 1 fried flake 4 dim sums and 3 calamari- couldn’t be bothered taking it back and having wait another 15 mins. See less

Ordered food over the phone 6.09pm, was told it would be half an hour wait. Now still waiting and its 7.55pm. Many others in the same situation. You owe it to your customers to be honest in terms of how long food will take to be ready. See less

They only fish and chips shop I trust with my food in the area. I've been going to the Flakery for a long time and can confirm the quality of their food is exceptional. The food is always hot and cooked perfectly. The burger with the lot is delectable. See less

As Uber Driver : I have done about 5 to 10 deliveries for this place. I arrive and quote by order. Staff : 2 minutes it is getting packed I ask the status after 5 minutes. Staff : just getting over, another 2 minutes I ask the status after 10 minutes. Staff :Another 2 minutes. I ask the status after 20 minutes. Staff getting angry over me for asking and started giving unwanted excuses and showing frustration on me for the mistakes they did. In the process they take another 5 to 10 minutes. All they have to tell is it will take about 30 minutes and give a chance for the Driver to make decision. They don't realize the losses the driver is making This incident has happened 3 times where they give unrealistic updates. I hope they take this feedback seriously, introspect and give prompt and realistic updates to the Drivers. ✌️ See less

Sadly I have to agree with the last one star rating. The food has gone from being a top flight Fish & Chips eatery to shocking horrible food. Their burgers were succulent and juicy Up until about 3 weeks ago to dry horrible burger meat that tastes and looks like cardboard . Clearly the new owners think they can make more money by buying cheap nasty food. News flash.. you will lose customers in droves. Will be going back to Omega 3 in chelsea. P S the fish had a horrible thick batter and looked and tasted like it was month old batter. Sooo disappointing. See less

Since the new owners have taken over, this place has sadly gone down hill. The chips were soft and not crispy at all (even the small, usually crunchy, bits were soft.. almost like they were stale), the potato cakes obviously came from a frozen pack instead of being freshly battered like they were before. The pineapple fritter was pretty good, probably because it was freshly battered. The new owners might be cutting costs by getting cheaper frozen products or maybe different oil. Sadly, the result will be that their regular customers will go somewhere else. I know for a fact that the old owners spent some time training and handing over the business to the new owners.. so I wish that they didn't try to improve the bottom line by cutting heavily on food quality. I'll try the food again in a few weeks and happily remove and redo this review if things improve. See less

So, new owners ? They cook multiple orders in the same vat . My fish and chips tasted like the doughnuts they also cooked in the the same basket for another order 😱 Also noticed that behind the seating inside that it had not been cleaned / swept for a very long time. 😱 See less
