Have been here a number of times and found the food is consistently good and the overall venue has a nice ambience. I would come here more often yet the unfriendly arrogant staff ruin any pleasure to be had. I suspect management may be having a strong influence on the mood of the staff. See less

Don't use the QR code on the tables. A couple came in 10 minutes after I did, ordered with the staff and they had almost finished their food before my coffee even came out! Relating to the food (when it finally arrived), it wasn't bad. Nothing to talk about, probably not worth what they charge. Coffee was well made and it seemed there was a line outside for takeaways. I'd recommend they ditch the QR scan to order and patrons just grab a coffee. See less

Was open on Christmas Eve whilst other cafes were not. Good amount of seating indoors and out. The menu and ordering is via website that is accessed by QR code located at the table. Great burgers and drinks are available. Muffins and small cakes are on display at the counter. Friendly staff. See less

We were positively delighted today; frequent coffee drinkers but first time diners: I had a chicken burger that had a delicious pickle/relish and my wife had gluten free Halloumi burger that she was very happy with, high praise especially as she is a very fussy eater :-) We'll definitely be going back again! Fantastic coffee from a cute little shop. Pleasantly rounded flavour with zero acidity and a balanced chocolatey bitterness. Can't believe people are complaining that this place is being Covid compliant. Keep doing what you're doing and keeping people safe, just because they don't care about safety doesn't mean you guys should cop it ✌️ See less

It's a cute cafe that also is a music venue. I've seen some great live music hear. The sound is pretty good and there's usually a cool art exhibition in the other room you can check out. Staff are friendly and the venue is tidy. See less

I'm a local and have often frequented The Front for coffee and lunch. I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with recent reviews that staff are using the current environment to be ruder than ever before. We're in Canberra's inner north - there's really no need to be patronisingly reminding us that there's a pandemic. The last time I went, we were refused use of the bathrooms despite the public toilets nearby being closed, I was scoffed at for ordering something off the menu which has apparently had a name change, and the staff were unnecessarily confrontational. This is the reputation The Front has within my entire circle of friends lately, and judging from the responses to previous public reviews, I don't think anything is likely to change - we will not be returning. I had the most lovely experience at The Front. Beautiful, friendly and attentive staff. Delectable array of sweet and savoury offerings and exquisite coffee - they serve two before ten coffee beans, I believe. And I had a batch brew that was on prism beans. The menu looks so good. I'll definitely be back to try the rest. I had "The Speck". 10/10 would come again! See less

Our Sunday morning walk turned into a Father's Day breakfast at The Front at Lyneham. Incredibly flavourful and textured kimchi omelette for me: beautifully toasted rye, feta cheese and a side salad that had crispy celery... delightful! My wife had a speck, their bacon, broccolini, potatoes and poached egg plate; she was equally pleased. Lovely coffee too. 4.5 for me. See less

Discovered this cafe recently when invited to join a friend (who lives in Lyneham) there for lunch. The food was good and coffee excellent! Quite a spacious indoor eating area and tables well separated to comply with COVID restrictions. Some out door seating as well. Friendly staff! I’m looking forward to returning. 4.5 ⭐️ from me. Good coffee and friendly service generally. However the pricing is way below par, madness to go there and order a coffee and bacon and egg roll and it cost $20. If you look closely at the picture below you can see where they just rubbed $17 off and replaced it with $20 without changing their offering at all. See less

Freindly service, food came out quickly, lots of locals saying hello and plenty of puppies to pat. Mug of coffe was generous, scrambled eggs were fluffy and flavoursome. See less
