We went to Edgar's Inn on Easter Sunday to have a low key lunch for my daughter's 21st. The booking process was simple and worked. The food was great pub fare and drinks were a mixture of locally crafted Canberra beers, wines and cocktails. The service was professional, courteous and efficient. They even helped with topping a home-brought cake. I cannot thank them enough for making the event special for my daughter and family. Highly recommend Edgar's Inn for any planned activity. Crikey... How good is this! Faultless evening. This has to be one of the best restaurants around. Food is exceptional. Service first class. Drinks are more than great. The Inn is reminiscent of the great Canberra restaurants we have enjoyed over the past half-century ~ Charlies, Bar Rochford, Zorbas, The Charcoal. Great foo served by attentive staff in a laid-back funky atmosphere with good music. The seafood is a standout. Another visit may boost my rating. See less

Good food, wine list and really nice area to catch up. We have been going to Ainslie Edgars for ever, but this place is a nice alternative to do a more 'upmarket' dinner if you're after more than pub food. Staff are friendly and generally you can get a table if you call ahead. See less

Our friend Mary recommended this place to us and said the team were very accomodating with kids as well - we have to agree it is so good! Great venue - food is fantastic, great wine list and the staff are on top of everything - no one seemed to mind a small kid coming along which we were grateful for. Cheers See less

Obviously if you're coming here for a meal, but if you're after more, whether that's the best sunset view in Canberra (from the terrace), or an escape from the hustle and bustle of real life in this conveniently hidden away gem, you'll find it here. From the open kitchen as you enter the main part of this venue setting a backdrop and providing a wildly visceral experience to patrons (especially if you get the privilege of sitting at the bar) to the seemingly everchanging menu, or perhaps the wonderfully curated wine menu from Adam and Ali The Inn will be a dining experience that you will not soon forget. With a cosy atmosphere, amazing service and delicious food, I highly recommend The Inn. They easily cater for specific eating requirements as everything is made on the spot.
