Used to love this Cafe and come frequently. Ordered 4 drinks after a day of shopping. We were told to use the QR code to order. The service was so terrible... I will not be coming back ever again. I'm embarrassed that I actually recommended this cafe to friends. Drinks went to the wrong table. Wait time between drinks was 30+ minutes with no explanation. Had to ask for drinks multiple times and was vaguely told it's coming. Asked for a refund and raised a complaint. Staff says maybe the QR system doesn't work, then walks away without telling anyone the problem or getting our drink organised. Requested a refund, no one came to process it. Had to walk to the bar to ask for a refund, to be told it's almost ready 1 minute. We see him proceed to make the drink AT THAT POINT. Finally last drink arrives. For context it was end of the day, fairly quiet, no food being served- only drinks, 5-6 staff walking around not communicating and often not doing much... there was really no excuse. See less

We waited 25 minutes for mediocre bitter coffee, most of the time we were waiting there was nobody making coffees and lots of staff so not “too busy”. We chased our pastries after 15minutes and were told the order was in the system but when they brought the pastries we were still sitting waiting ten minutes for coffees (which came out a few minutes apart). Lots of other options at Macquarie, used to really like this place but won’t be back. See less

Don't sit down at a table when you want just coffee without ordering food. If you do, you'll soon be told by the owner to leave. This will make you very uncomfortable. This was a place I frequented with my family. So this situation is very disappointing. I will probably never visit this cafe again. See less

What an amazing cafe. I’ve been coming here for years and every time I experience it, it gets better. I highly recommend the coffee & prawn linguine pasta. The owner Bill is an exceptional and hardworking man. Can’t wait to come again. See less

Have been here many times. I could only say nothing let me down so far like seafood linguine, chicky pieces and burger. For drink I highly recommend cold drip here if you enjoy this taste. After I said this to Joy I love their cold drip, she gave me a free cup for take away. Really kind. See less

Ordered the bacon egg on ciabatta - the bacon and the bread were hard and tasted stale. The dish had some fried kale on the side which was so small and drenched in oil, looked like scraps from the pan dished out on my plate. Disappointed with the food. Coffee was too acidic for my liking. Shame this cafe used to have really good quality food and coffee. See less

Ordered classic Ruben sandwich and was far from a classic. Cheap meat with no flavour and barely a kids size portion. It would have been justifiable if the price wasn't exuberant. Wouldn't recommend given that there are better ones in the neighbourhood. You get more of the vibe that it's about maximising profit than showcasing their talents or keeping their customers happy. Part of this is our fault for not checking the reviews prior as any cafe under 4 stars are not worth checking out. Only reason why it is not 1 star as the two young waitress were attentive. See less

The Missing Piece cafe is a great place to take your family or friends and have a delicious meal. They are very welcoming and accomodating. Our family has visited the place many times and had wonderful times. I personally recommend their fish taco and sliders. Their variety of smoothies and coffees also go great with the foods. Bill is doing a great job providing unparalleled customer service to everyone. See less

The Missing Piece Cafe used to be one of the best cafes at Macquarie Centre however their quality of food and customer service is just getting worse every time I visited. Waited for half an hour for a bacon and egg roll. Chose to have scrambled egg when I was asked if I wanted fried or scrambled egg - only realised after I paid my bill that they charged me $2.50 for "extra egg" - wish they could have explained to their customer better instead of simply charging you extra! Worthwhile cafe stop in the centre for breakfast or lunch, plus whatever got drink of your choice. Sweet potato wedges are delicious (but comes with a dipping sauce served in plastic sadly). Taro latte is a must if you want something caffeine free. Reasonably prices for location and quality. See less

Friendly staff with not bad drinks and coffee. The food look presentable and has big portion (full of meat) but tastes average in my opinion. Services are great and responsive but seem to often have doubled up our requests (not a major for customers other than saying “yup, I’ve already ordered” or “I’ve already been served”. Bonus point; nice selection of music too! Chill and easy to listen yet not too loud. See less

Quick service and food is decent. Is normally busy and can be hard to get a table. Menu has a good selection of food and drinks. Coffee was average, didn't have much flavour to it. Staff were friendly and attentive. See less
