Enjoyed a tasty Sunday breakky here with family. This is a great spot in New Farm offering shady and cool outdoor seating (very dog friendly🐶) along with cute indoor seating. Very friendly and welcoming staff, thanks for such great customer service! The bottomless mimosas on the menu did not escape my notice.....next time!😊. See less

Excellent spicy chicken salad. I congratulated the new owner and wished her all the best with her new business. It’s well worth checking out this menu. See less

The Moray makes good coffee. I was pleasantly surprised the first time, and they haven't disappointed yet. I haven't done any serious dining at the Moray yet but their ham and cheese croissants are fresh, and their bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese and salad was delicious. The lovely staff give consistent service. I have met a client inside, and it is a good place for a quiet chat. The neighbours all seem to enjoy it. It's the most relaxed coffee shop I've found in two and a half years in Brisbane. I wrote the above around two weeks ago, and today I visited for breakfast. I ordered the Salmon Omelette. It was a baked style omelette ( frittata) and had well- balanced flavours with smoked salmon and fetta. The slaw on top was made with fresh produce, and was a nice complement in flavour and texture. Their Tumeric Latte is made with plenty of tumeric and sugar. The Moray has a nice location right on the corner of Merthyr and Moray under the shade of the iconic fig and a short walk from the Sydney Street Ferry terminal and the New Farm Riverwalk. Compliments to the Chef! See less

Went to this cafe with my mates. Had coffee and brunch there. Staff and the new owner are very friendly. Food and coffee are amazing. My fav dish is the Banana pancake. Definitely would recommend this place to my friends See less

If you’re looking for a DIY cafe experience, this is the place to go. We had to seat ourselves, pour our own water and go up to the counter to order. The food was different to what was advertised on the menu (tomato salsa is not just raw diced tomato) and expensive. To top it off, as the waitress cleared our plates she was totally unaware that she was waving another customer’s leftovers right at us. We came here at the recommendation of an UrbanList post - we would advise them to revise their endorsement of The Moray Cafe, as the current managers do not deserve such credit. See less

The Moray is one of my favourite cafes in Brisbane! The team are genuinely lovely and treat locals like family. The coffee is consistently great and the muffins are incredible - the best I’ve ever had! Can’t speak highly enough of my little “local”. See less

Very disappointing experience - we stopped for a quick meal and coffee like we did in the past on our Brisbane bike ride. To make our stay short, we decided on a couple ready made salmon bagels and an almond croissant from the fridge. It took them more than 15 minutes to get the food delivered. The bagels were so dry they were almost impossible to slice , the salmon had a very strong smell and it definitely attracted a lot of flies around us. The almond croissant was so tasteless we just left it on the plate after a few bites. When most of us decide to eat in a coffee shop we are happy to pay whatever they charge because we're assuming we'll get good quality food with our money. This time we paid over forty dollars for food that should never be served. I don't think we want to visit the place again while under the same management. See less

Really lovely. The fritters/potato stack is the best cafe meal I may have ever had, I look forward to having it weekly (I have to limit myself to only that often!) I think I have met the owners/managers a couple times, they have an extra element of care when dealing with customers which makes me think it belongs to them and its always such a pleasure to be there. Didn't follow instructions for coffee, bacon and egg sandwich is way overpriced $14 for egg and bacon on sourdough bread (sourdough fried in butter is the only plus) no pepper, sauce, veggies or anything else for more flavour. Didn't even get the spinach they said it would come in the sandwich. Sandwich is probably costs less than $3 in ingredients, has no complexity except the fried bread, don't charge so much for something so simple and cheap to make. Ridiculous will never go back. This is fast becoming a fav. Great selection of a more lavish breakfasts to tantalise our tastebuds each time. We’ve been fortunate to turn up without a booking each time and be seated immediately (however this only applies on week days). There is a beautiful little side section with a glass roof that makes the experience more delightful See less

Great brunch spot, especially on a nice day, to sit outside surrounded by leafy trees! The menu is interesting with lots of options for all tastes. Coffee was excellent. We made a booking online a few days before (it did take a coupler days to have it confirmed). For small groups there were a few open tables available and we didn't spot anytime waiting long (at 10am on a Saturday). The service could have been a little more attentive, to offer more coffees/drinks, but everyone was very friendly and helpful! See less
