It was a bit disappointing… Made an online booking for a Sunday brunch for 2, I purposely ensured that there were to be no restrictions on seating times. Upon our Arrival a waitress informed me that in an hour we will be asked to leave, I questioned the discrepancy with the information online but was then rather rudely asked to place our order, I had to explain to her that we need to read a menu before we can order. We did enjoy a great coffee and yummy chilli scrambled eggs, so I guess it was the service which soured our day. After our food we were left alone for almost half an hour before eventually walking to the counter to ask for a waiter for some service and after a further 10 mins we were forced to try again. We did end up ordering several coffees and we definitely overstayed our welcome but as the place was almost empty I didn’t feel that bad. I’m hoping I just attended on a bad day for all of the staff there but If you’re going to go there just be aware that your experience made be better if you opt for take away!! See less

Had made a booking for 5 people in the morning, received confirmation email. Arrived at cafe on time and told that they don't look at same-day bookings. Host was incredibly rude and unwelcoming, told to call instead of using OpenTable. NO WHERE does it say that this is required, but apparently customer are treated poorly when we don't know this. Don't have OpenTable as an option to your guests if you aren't going to use it correctly. Luckily able to find a much more welcoming cafe nearby who were happy to have our service. Will not be going back. See less

The menu tells you not to ask for anything different during busy times - and I can see why. Of the 4 dishes we ordered (2 x egg on toast, 1 x toast and 1 x sliders) they only managed to get 3 out in an hour (not the sliders - too complicated!). And the eggs were rock solid. Wait staff studiously avoiding eye contact, shouting at us as we walked in "have you got a booking" this was an experiment that we won't repeat. There are so many better places than this. My view is always that if you can't cope during busy times either a) change something, b) reduce your seating c) do something else for a living. In this case c is the option. Very very poor See less

Great local cafe. Menu has just the right amount of options with great selection. Weive nearby and eat here frequently and have never had a bad meal. Coffee is always good and comes hot..always a bonus! The staff can get a little overwhelmed when its busy but nonetheless it wouldn't put me off as they're very friendly and accommodating and also dog friendly. See less

Visited The Old Milk Bar Cafe with a friend with high hopes. The juice was delicious! My Crumpet dish was presented lovely. However the flavours of the dishes seemed off. Was nice to be able to take advantage of Zomato Gold! See less

Went to the old milkbar today with a friend and my first impression was that the location is awesome, away from the busy lanes, at the corner of a street amongst the residential houses. The courtyard area seemed busy so we decided to sit in. The serves were pretty quick in helping us and take out orders. We ordered •The cold pressed juices (from juice culture) aa it was a warm day, we got the Rawberry & the Circus. The circus had a nice citrus taste to it. Definitely the highlight of the whole visit. For food we got • Dr. Marty’s Crumpets The presentation was a 10/10. I loved how there were different coloured element that made it look good. The crumpets were nice n moist. However, the •Cinnamon Waffles The presentation was okay, felt like it was trying to hard to look like their competition. The waffles looked like they were store bought..and the sour cream was completely unnecessary. Every element on the plated tasted really good, but only separately. The overall dish was a hit n miss. The overall experience was okay. The good thing thou, that they have zomato gold. See less

Yep. very good overall. Was supposed to get there for brunch but got there closer to lunch so I had the burger. My companions had the chicken sandwich. They both said it was great. My burger was pretty darn delicious. I opted for an iced coffee which was good. Good service. A bit exxy but it's worth it. See less
