Ate there with my family today. Never coming back again. Here is why: Food - took 20 -30 minutes for a big breakfast to come out. I'm fine with that. But, there was a massive grease puddle at the bottom of the plate. Food tasted off too. Drinks - ordered a chai latte with lactose free milk - it was not lactose free. Also nearly 50% of the drink was foam? Such a joke. Service - it was okay initially when placing an order, the young lady was so pleasant and happy to answer questions. But once we had sat down and we're waiting for food all we got was filthy looks from some of the workers. I was polite the entire time to them. I'd recommend someone going to cafe cherry beans instead just downstairs. See less

Was planning on a spot of lunch at the Shed cafe in Westfield Woden thinking it’s the same as the Shed cafe in Westfield Belconnen. It’s not. The staff at the Belconnen cafe is always friendly and they make the best coffee. I often order the poached chicken salad which is very nice but I’ve noticed the poached chicken component is not as fresh as it used to be. So I asked if I could substitute the chicken for smoked salmon and knowing salmon is more expensive I happily offered to pay extra. The staff at Belconnen was happy to accommodate. Not so at Woden. I got a terse No they don’t do that. How difficult is it to substitute one meat for another? Needless to say I left and had lunch elsewhere. It’s a shame that in these Covid times and it’s effects on struggling cafe businesses that they could not be more flexible and accomodating with their menu. Perhaps they don’t need the paying customer. Happy to support local businesses and I will continue to support the Shed cafe in Belconnen. But never again at the one in Woden. See less

Ordered an extra hot cappuccino, Came without chocolate on top, barely any froth, was luke warm and was so weak it was basically warm milk. To top it off, we brought it up which is always uncomfortable and not only was she rude, she didn’t offer to rectify the issue. Never coming back! The one in Belconnen is exceptional so we were disappointed considering we decided to go here of all places thinking it would be good quality and good service. See less

I visited on a busy Sunday morning. While the service was prompt, my meal seemed to be thrown together in a rush - over-cooked, rubbery eggs; cold vegetables & last-minute toast thrown on top! The cafe is in the middle of a busy mall: maybe good for a quick coffee while shopping, but not really suitable for a relaxing brunch. See less

Edited to add - everytime a negative review is posted - a brand new account pops up and gives a 5 star review.... Will never eat here again. Complete waste of $120. Feel so embarrassed to have taken friends here. Of the 4 meals ordered, 1 was completely burnt and inedible, 1 had poached eggs that were almost completely raw, 1 had an extra paid for item missing that never arrived after asking for it multiple times, and the 4th arrived 15 mins after the others, again asking multiple times, and even then was essentially just a plate of warm soggy bacon. Staff were rude, extremely unhelpful, and very clearly did not want to be there. So disappointed. See less

very fast for food order, coffee is one of the best in Canberra, staff is very helpful and nice. One of the best place to catch up with family and friends to talk grab coffee and food. Overall best cafe in Woden would recommend for anyone and everyone. See less

The worst service ever. We asked for a slider without anything, got it with lettuce, tomatoes and sauce. When we asked to get a new one, they took our order removed the lettuce and tomatoes and brought it back with sauce on. It was cold, dry bread . There was a miss in all our orders. We asked for a bowl of sweet potato got it on our plate as a side portion (paid for the 10$ bowl got the 5$ side). See less

Their coffee totally has my back. Amazing house roasted coffee, they have their own brand. How cool! Their special homemade cheesecake is worth it. Services is friendly and quick. It was a long queue when I came, but I was served almost immediately. Will come back to The Shed every week for sure. Almost forgot about their special, they have new special dishes out every week. 1 star just so I can post review. This is the most awful coffee I’ve ever had, tastes like robusta bean instant. Not at all what I would expect from a cafe. Reminds me of the Simpsons quote “Tis just brown and water” If you love coffee, do not go here. See less

I have not been to Woden for a while and came across the Shed. We sat down for breakfast and I have to say it was really good. Friendly Staff and the service was pretty quick after ordering. We got there early, but it's does get busy pretty quickly. The Coffee is also really good.. Highly recommended. See less
