The Somerset has been my local venue for the last 4+ years and I have only now bothered to leave a review. Specifically for the Garden Bar due to it's terrific spacious layout and outdoor garden like booths. The food is what I would expect from most pubs like this, if not a better (maybe bias). Mostly the staff are so wonderful, kind, and attend to every one of your needs without complaint. I'd specifically like to shout out Anna for her A+ smile and conversation. We also had a great chat about Magpies! Go to the Somerset, get blind off their cocktails and enjoy a coffee later? 10/10 recommend. See less

Great food and I really love this venue, especially now with the pandemic as it has outdoor seating which has great ventilation, heating and these great booths. Management probably just need to answer emails and ensure patrons are checking in. See less

Went to the Somerset tonight with my wife and 2 kids. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel and the kids had their meal of chicken schnitzel with a glass of apple juice. The servings were generous and the meals were delicious. We found out that they crumb their own schnitzel. The staff here were so friendly and even took the time to talk to our kids. They even checked to ensure that we were happy with our meals. We couldn't fault anything. The meals were fantastic and the service was excellent. A special mention must go out to Michelle the head chef and to Gary who made us an outstanding dessert. He made us the biggest icecream sundae I have ever seen. This will definitely be our go to restaurant from now on. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favour and go by and have a meal. See less

Wow! The revamped Somerset Hotel is a stunning place to enjoy a meal or drinks with friends. The ambience is excellent, the food is outstanding and the service is wonderful! In fact it is so good that our dining group has gone there two Fridays in a row. This superb Hotel took us by surprise. We weren't expecting search quality. The noise level is low which allows us to freely communicate with each other. Multiple TV screens allow patrons to watch a variety of sports and entertainment during their time there. The quality of the food, right from the chips to the steaks, fish and chicken meals is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. Our group now intends to make this hotel our main dining focus during the rest of the year. The hotel also has a range of food & drink specials during the week and also happy hours. Schnitzel night and pizza night offer great value. Currently this is the number one hotel that we have come across in all of our dining travels! See less

Staff were ulta friendly and efficient . Meal took ages but was delicious when it finally arrived , entree of garlic bread arrived at the same time as main courses . You don't compare to the Grand Hotel or the Albion Hotel in your area . The actual menu selection was very minimal compared to the hotels and restaurants I go to down in Port Adelaide, Semaphore , Largs Bay and North Haven . Not sure I'll return ?? See less

Great pub with a good blend of modern and traditional spaces. Traditional resturant offers a quiet space to enjoy dinner with it's own bar for drinks, and a fantastic hot salad bar with fresh bakes and pasta. The tucked away sports bar is a lively corner with ample bar seating, a few tables and many screens. The beer garden is an amazing well designed indoor/outdoor space. With cosy booths (each with personal speaker tv, heater and fan) outdoor fire, dj booth, and stage. All bars offer a weekly rotating bar specials, and offer classic pub meals with gluten free, vegeterian, and vegan options. See less
