Standard restaurant and sports bar. Just don't expect football on fox sports - in my opinion this a very bad decision for a sports bar to make. Food and drink is solid. See less

Six of us enjoyed "Christmas in July". The service was excellent, as was each course of the festive menu, and the price very good. Just a little too noisy, but will ask for a table away from the playroom next time. See less

Was the sugar gum last Monday very disappointing TOLD on 2 settings 11.30 am second setting 1.30 P.m BUT PEOPLE COMING IN AT THEIR OWN TIME SEATED AT EARLIER TIME MEALS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF SERVED WARM I WAS SUPPOSED TO CARBONARA NOT SPAGHETTI NOOLES 3 OF MY GROUP HAD SEND MEAL BACK BECAUSE WAS COLD (A WALK THROUGH THE KITCHEN DIDNT MAKE IT WARM) AT 1.20 TOLD WE HAD TO LEAVE SOME WHO ORDERED DESSERT MISSED OUT 9 PEOPLE WILL NOT BE BACK See less

First time going to this place. I was meeting a friend for coffee it was 10.30am when we arrived. The woman who was working was so rude and overbearing and so unwelcoming. She told us that the restaurant was closed until 11.30am which was completely fine but she just had a really horrible attitude. Such a bad first impression when the inside looks so lovely. We wanted to even sit in the gaming room and grab a coffee there but were told we can only go in there if we are using the machines…?? Really strange when there is a seating area seperate from the machines and also the fact that it was dead quiet and we were basically told we can’t sit in there. I’m guessing the woman works in management but she should be fired her hospitality skills suck. Unwelcoming and cold! She is lucky to even have a job in this climate. See less

First time back at Sugargum since being renovated.. Meals were OK.. A bit pricey though.. My grains and chicken was a bit bland.. I will go back again and give it another go. Great family bistro and friendly staff.. See less

My culinary experience today was 5 star. The food was really enjoyed by both myself and client. The attention by service staff was one of the best that I have seen In a pub setting. That started by the manager Gerome who roamed the tables ensuring that the patrons were satisfied, well done. Definitely recommend eating here 😁 See less

Start ro end experience was awesome, Gino helped me to choose the table perfectly suitable to me and even he changed the table on my request... Jerome took my order just as i wanted and did make sure that Chef gets correct message... magic was on my plate when Jerry's, chef, presentable Dish came on my table... looked superb and tasted just what I wanted or more than that... personally I was asked about how I liked it... I simply loved it... last but not least Duty Manager Deb helped me personally to feel better and solve my problem. Overall wonderful time... looking forward to come back with family...💜💜💜 See less

Came here 2 days in a row once stage 4 covid lockdown was eased, once with the boys, and once with family.. still with 20ppl indoor restrictions. Sugar Gum had excellent accommodating staff despite the restrictions. The meals are well sized and good value. The venue looks great and I only wish the restrictions would have allowed us to explore it a bit more. The place is spotless clean and the staff are professional and friendly. Definitely would dine here again. See less

Had the pleasure of dining here tonight. It has been a regular spot of mine since I've moved to the area 14 years ago. Was very excited to see the new fitout, unfortunately with the opening being so busy then covid19 we never got the opportunity. Lucky tonight we got a booking and got to see the new Set Up and taste the new menu. Love the new fitout, so fresh and vibrant. The meals we ordered was delicious and perfect service.
