Unfortunately a disappointing experience. The prices all seem to have had $20 added to them, with most of the mains priced between $60-$70. This wouldn't be a problem if the quality was there, but it was not. The chicken liver parfait was bland, the ravioli was ok but there were only 2 pieces of ravioli. The scallops and steak were tasty but not worth the $66 price tag. Cocktails were good as was the service, but for the price, there are better options on the coast. Sorry Bells, but we won't be back. AWFUL!!! It's like being back in the 90's! the décor and dining room are boring and the food is just plain awful. Seriously the worst place I have been to eat in a very long time. Avoid at all cost. The chef should be sacked! See less

This restaurant might have been cool in 1990 - they haven’t changed anything since then except for inflating the already inflated prices. The food is 30 years out of date, bland, boring; served with fake pomp and ceremony. Sat with empty glasses and plates for 30 minutes while trying to attract attention - meanwhile the table next to us got repeatedly served. Probably a side effect of the fact that the wait staff had to spend their time doing ridiculous outdated ceremonies with the food at all the tables. Hard to understand how a dinosaur of a restaurant like this still survives with so much amazing competition in the local area. See less

lovely place, menu was sensational, cocktail menu wasn’t available at the time of visiting. Wine menu extensive, but when you taste the wine and do the research they are charging you around $175 on a $60 bottle. Service was a little slow, covid could have been invested here. Food was fair, meat was over cooked to ordering. Cut was amazing. Felt a little pompous with rich locals, a little overrated for what you would receive in major cities. Do your research on the wines before you attend . Pastry and bread were outstanding! See less

Had a fantastic lunch here with my husband and our newborn son. I suspect we’ll be talking about that lamb shoulder for a very long time! Special shout out to Colin, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. See less

Id give this place no stat's if I could. When I rang to book, I asked about vegan options and was told "No problem, chef will whip you something up". I also mentioned it was a significant birthday for me. So you can imagine my surprise and disappointment when I was told, when the waiter eventually appeared, to pick from the vegetable sides, most of which were covered in butter. It took 40 minutes for us to be able to order with no apology or bread offered. We practically had to tackle the waiter to get service. Entrees arrived after an hour with mine missing. After waiting for 10 minutes called the maitre d' aside and told her, quietly, that my birthday was being ruined. A half-hearted apology saw no change in service and no offer a glass of wine even in compensation. The meals for the rest of the table were adequate but over-priced. I will never, ever return and will be telling all my local friends not to bother. There are so many better places in Ettalong, Kilcare and thereabouts. Sadly, I'll never get my birthday back. Shame on you Wildflower. See less

Disappointing experience. Having frequented this venue over the last 10 years, I immediately noticed the changes since new ownership in 2019. The previous class has left the building, now feeling more like a bistro. Food was acceptable but given the prices the presentation and delivery clumsy. Cutlery over handled on bare tables, drinks delivered haphazardly, not seamless and quite intrusive. Prices not reflecting the previous reputation that this restaurant had. Staff seemed stiff and awkward. Sorry my love affair with this venue is over. The 2 stars given because yes the food was good, but you are paying for more than good food when you attend so called fine dining. Won’t be returning. See less

A definitely below average experience. Set Valentine's menu. The whole thing was a pretty big let down. The food (except for the beef tenderloin) and the (not) floating island, was pretty good. The Marron was the stand-out. Actually, the stand-out here was the wine. Beef tenderloin was lacking in texture and taste. The dessert was way over sweet (even leaving more than 1/2 the hot chocolate). The service was friendly but distant, asking questions but nodding and leaving as we'd barely finished answering. Wine was ordered before the Marron but didn't arrive until it was cleared away. No apology, just a statement that, "This is what happens when you swap jobs". Butter taken away before bread was finished. Empty dishes taken away while we were still eating is also a distraction, especially mid-conversation. Definitely not somewhere I'd go back to. Except for the wine, which was great. Typically, you normally get asked how the meal was when paying. Not this time. Just the bill, the card machine and a, "Thanks". See less

Lovely casual dining venue but extraordinarily overpriced. For two at $280 (wine was extra), I was expecting slightly more than a 'nice enough' bistro experience. Service was friendly though a little overzealous with butter being removed from the table before the bread was finished and plates being taken away the moment the last bite was put into my mouth. There are many other better restaurants in the area. See less

Absolutely impeccable dining experience in here! Service, food, cocktails, wines, decor, ambience, music, lighting...I can’t fault it! We are from Sydney but love it so much we have been 4 times in a month, on our last visit we didn’t have a reservation and the restaurant was fully booked, but the manager Manuel recognised us and did his best to accomodate us. He’s very friendly, when I told him I love the scallop dish, he introduced me to Greg, the chef who created that dish; I was happy to shake his hand and compliment him personally on the best scallop dish I’ve ever had! Throughout our visits we have tried different dishes and we have always raved about them. Thanks again Manuel and the rest of the team. See less

Too many misses than hits. It’s the little things that add up. Oysters were fresh but weren’t shucked properly so was still attached to the shell. So when trying to eat them they tore the oyster. The steak tartare was made table side (not really sure why?) but there was too much mustard which overpowered the whole dish. The complete let down was the seafood boulliabiasse. For $37 the shellfish was overcooked almost inedible although the fish was cooked really well, and the soup very salty. Lemon tart for dessert was Ok, but tasted as if it had been in the fridge for a couple of days. Really not worth the hype or the money. See less
