Wonderful venue, great vibe, delicious pub fare coupled with outstanding staff and management. A slight, and I do mean slight mishap with one of our parmas. Hey, these things happen. The kind manager not only replaced it as promptly as possible, but gave us a round of drinks and them some. Now that's hospitality and service. I love being a regular at trivia at this local institution. See less

Food was surprisingly great, certainly a cut above the standard pub fare I was expecting. The red wine gravy with the steak is terrific, the meat was a generous cut cooked to instructions. See less

Walked in, had one beer. Asked for a bag of chips. “Bar’s closed” said the Barman with a look of disdain plastered across his face. This came as surprise given 10 minutes earlier the same man had said “we’ll probably be open til 12”. It was now 11 on the dot. Is last drinks not a thing here? Said Barman seemed rather grumpy, perhaps it’d been a long day. Shame because I had heard great things about this place listening to Pauly P and Pat on a Saturday night. My partner and I really felt uncomfortable the whole time we were here. See less

Reception was a little frosty at first. Possibly due to ordering 2 soft drinks. I get it, it's a pub, but we are trying to look after ourselves. Selection of soft drinks was limited this night also. Minor issues tho. All was redeemed with the delicious parma and burger though. Was charged the wrong amount but the bar tender brought me the correct change after she realised the error. Gotta say, it's not quite a 5 star experience, but it was very good. I look forward to going back soon. See less

Great place for a beer. Had some sour beers on tap which was nice. Bit of a rabbit Warren of rooms... Outdoor bit was nice until the rain set in. I was there on a Wed afternoon so it was a bit quiet. Would likely return for a meal one evening in 2022 See less

Great location for museum goers. Pop up here for a pint and lunch on museum/imax outings. Fairly generic pub food of OK quality. Band room is standing only, fairly small, all indoors but good atmosphere. Melbourne. See less

Best pub out there. Live bands are always amazing. The Wednesday Parma night is not to be missed. Same with the Monday drinks specials. Highly recommend the wedges too See less

I came from Sydney on the 9 April to see Shakerfaker here, One of the greatest nights ever. Starting with the meal I ordered was the best tasting Pub food I have ever had, the bar staff were great and made you feel welcome. The bands playing were Awesome!! See less

The venue, location and vibe is fine, the real let down of the Workers is specifically its performance space. After visiting for the first time in over 18 months for a metal gig I was disappointed to find the band room was very uncomfortable, hot muggy and plainly unsafe in a Covid-19 pandemic world. No aircon was used, no staff could be seen supervising density or social distancing inside the band room. Further more, the band room audio system does not have a house engineer which leaves much to be desired in terms of sound consistency and ease of operation for performing musicians and their sound engineers. For a venue that believes its own hype, I expected more. See less
