A small restaurant (bit hard to find at first) with good Thai foods. The dishes are very flavourful. They usually do lunch deals (hot bar foods), however hot bar is currently unavailable due to Covid. Hopefully it will be back soon. So only regular menu is available right now. See less

EDIT: Upgraded it to 5 starts for the consistently yummy and amazing food. Never been let down with the quality of food and service! In short it's AMAZING. Cute little Thai restaurant tucked away on level 1 close by to Westfield. Definitely the best Thai food I've had here in Canberra. Great customer service and the food is delicious. I had the Pad Se Ew which was jam packed with flavour. My partner had the Tom Yum Soup Noodles which despite its clear broth was filled with intricate flavours. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. 4 stars for the pricing. 5 for the food. Will upgrade my review to full 5 stars if the quality remains the same over a period of time. The best Thai food I’ve had in Canberra. Although it’s small, the quality and quantity of food is much better compared to some other more well known Thai restaurants. Don’t recommend if you’re after a pretentious social opportunity, but definitely recommend as a solid food choice. Will come again for sure. See less

Absolutely phenomenal authentic Thai food here!!!!! Such a hidden gem, housed in a very quiant and simple shopfront, tucked away in the old Belconnen Churches' Centre. The guy always working at the front is such a sweetheart, and he is very accommodating, helpful, and thorough in his service. He actually remembers people's faces from months ago, even if you've only been once or twice!! I really hope they get through this latest Canberra lockdown aftermath, because they really really deserve to be able to continue operating and delighting it's patrons with their amazing Thai food (their steamed fish in particular is bloody amazeballs) See less

As someone who was born in western Sydney and lived in Canberra all my life who's struggled to find authentic Thai asian food, Kip's Thai was a breath of fresh air. The paw paw saled and the pork neck was just the right blend of salty, sweet and sour which went perfect with sticky rice. The owner greeted us warmly and I can't recommend this place enough. A FanTHAIstic feed 🙌 Do yourself a favour and grab yourself a meal at Thips. Every dish we ordered was perfection! The pork neck stole the show with its tender meat and complex chill basil flavours but the pad Thai, pad See Ew and Crispy Chicken dishes also left me wanting more. The staff were friendly and the ambience was clean, unpretentious and welcoming. I will be back many times over. See less

Amazed by this recommendation from a Thai friend. Truly authentic! Loved the curry puff which has the pastry I am used to. The phad thai also tasted surprisingly better than those elsewhere. So glad to have this place in Belconnen! See less
