Rather expensive for what it was, forgot an item on the order so we had to drive back, salad was great. Potato cakes good. Chips good but the 'family size chips' didn't have a significant amount as expected. See less

Very busy on a Friday night, which is to be expected, but communication is very poor. Website doesn’t work effectively to order (choosing the component options for a pack increases the price of a pack, so it goes from costing $21 to $28), but if you order in person people who call are prioritised ahead of people who have been in line for a lot longer. Not sure how this happens though because I can never get through on the phone. Have now been waiting more than 40 minutes after being told it wouldn’t be long when I ordered. I want to like this place, support local and not use Uber Eats but seriously the service is not good. See less

An absolute shambles. This joint is quite possibly the most dysfunctional place one could ever come across. The first time they botched the order was happy to give them the benefit on the doubt - not after complete stuffing up 4 out of 6 orders. All possible issues from missing items, under cooked food, ridiculous wait times, this place has it all. The last debacle was the last straw. Order at 555pm for a 645pm pick up, wait 20 mins store, then at 705pm told no record of order? It’s now 725pm and still waiting. Never again. See less

Some nights ok, others not so a bit hit & miss. We’ve been ordering regularly since opening & started well but has deteriorated in quality & service. We ordered grilled barramundi a couple of weeks in a row & was very rubbery, not nice at all. So changed to grilled flake & also had 1 night where it was like rubber but the next week ok. The home made dim sims are yummy but the home made potato cakes have halved in size & tiny!! Why? See less

I went to the Tide last night. I ordered two Rockling @ $10 ea. and asked for it to be grilled as well as a small chips. I was told extra $2 to grill. When I got the bill I was charged $4.00 grill for each meal making a total bill of $34 for a small take-away meal! This is excessive even for Brighton! I was deceived as they responded that the fish came in 2 pieces/serve so hence the $4.00 grill charge for each serve! This pricing was NOT displayed and entraps 'would-be' customers. I will not be returning to this business. There are better places nearby. What's more the fish was not grilled just simmered in it juices! See less

Fast service but fried fish was inedible because it was covered on salt and herbs. Who puts herbs on fish and chips without telling you?? Chips were well cooked but again covered in herbs. Didn't receive the tartare sauce we paid for either. Tried calling 10 times but phone won't answer. Won't be returning. See less

Pretty disappointed with the 48$ worth of fish and chips; any other local shop offers better for less. Average cut of Rockling that was dry, though flavoured well. Medium chips smaller than most other shops small chips,and one slice of lemon for 3 serves of fish, 👎 better off going to the fish tank or captain and co 🤷‍♂️ See less

We visited Tide two weeks back and ordered 2 pieces of grilled Rocking, some chips and the slaw. The service was chaotic, but the food finally arrived. The Rocking had a consistency of rubber, was overcooked and not worth $14 a piece. Not sure of the quality of the fish? The chips were Ok, but a tad cold. The slaw and dressing were good. We won't be going there again. See less

This fish and chippery is a place I highly recommend for deep fried goodness. We tried their bigger fish to fry which comes with two pieces of battered fish, potato cake, dim sim and medium chips. You're able to choose the battered fish where we picked a flake and blue grenadier, both had their own flavour, had the crispiest batter and lightly seasoned. The chips were so crunchy and you can taste the premiumness to both the chips and fish. See less

A very disappointing experience all round. I booked and paid online, advised it would be 30 minutes so arrived to pick up at 30 mins only to be told to wait outside. 10mins later double checked my order - told to wait outside again. At the 50 min mark asked after my order again only to find out that there had been a problem with online ordering and it would take 4 mins to cook - 22 mins later I got our food. A total of 1hr 12 mins from ordering to collection. Rude staff, poor mask wearing and I witnessed them hanging up the phone as it rang - literally hanging up on people who were attempting to ring through orders. Then to top it all off the drink I’d ordered wasn’t included. Don’t bother. See less
