Perfect customer service. Waiters knowledgeable, friendly and approachable but not overbearing, a fine art. Food was delicious and everything was beautifully presented. Even tailored the courses and how they brought out the dishes based on what we ordered. Felt like dining from a set menu there was so much thought behind which dish to bring next. The extensive gin menu was a delight to explore and the waiter was helpful in tailoring ones choice. Would definitely return again and again. A must visit. See less

This restaurant is a hidden gem! What a find! Obviously being a gin bar, the gin was top notch. But the surprise was the food quality. Must try! Very nice small and large sharing plates. A rare gem of a place. Brilliant service standards, from the moment you walk in they make you feel , they love having you there. Then the drinks arrive and it's brilliant. The choices of cocktails are just an experience on it's own. The food menu is well designed and served in the perfect order. I would drive again soon from Sydney just to enjoy this place. See less

A little gin bar that is an absolute delight. Such a wonderful idea and a great place for gin. With over 230 gins to choose from it was an such a wild time to selected which gin to drink. Every gin is served with its own botanicals and a tonic that is tailored to your gin selection. Of course dinner has been amazing. Staff were very helpful and delivered great service. Really happy with dinner and food. Highly recommended for everyone to visit. Such a wonderful venue. See less

There are some restaurants that are more than the food - they are a true experience. The Tipsy Bull is such a place. The service is best described as "casual attentiveness perfected." I don't know who trains the floor staff, but they have done an incredible job. The staff all genuinely love what they are doing, give considered advice on the menu (over 300 gins!) and really make the dining experience special. The modern take in Tapas is good, and I like the slight skew towards seafood and vegetarian dishes. I was not a fan of gin until, after chatting with the wait staff, I decided to try their recommendation: a gin drink inspired by Vietnamese the pho. It blew my mind. It is everything that I love about complex flavors, but in a cocktail. The wait staff really read my tastes well. In conclusion, the Tipsy Bull is an experience greater than the food. It is more akin to a degustation dinner at a fancy-dancy, top-tier establishment, but without the pretentiousness. Interesting food, outstanding gin, and service excellence that makes you night out memorable. See less

The food and gin were great, however the service was dreadfully slow which is what has warranted the two stars, we waited almost two hours for our last “course” as they called it however when ordering we were told it was tapas style. I’m not sure as to what the kitchen and management think tapas is but usually tapas everything is bought at once and shared amongst the table. Don’t get me wrong I would definitely dine here again but these small things have left a sour taste in what would normally be an enjoyable evening. See less

Never been to a Gin bar but blew my mind. Any flavor under the sun.....Every sip was different Everytime!!!! One tweak after another was like a mad chemist experience. Something for every palette. The food was all very good and well plated. Will now be seeking these out wherever I am in the world. See less

Enjoyed the chef's menu with a friend today, we were incredibly impressed with the five courses, gin and a cocktail each. Expensive but worth it. Try the lamb! Especially excellent service from our waiter the bald man with a tartan shirt. He was so friendly and informative, you don't often get great service like that these days. Really nice night thank you! This place has become a favourite! Staff are lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Always up for a chat to discuss the largest range of Gins I think in Canberra!!! The GnT paddles are such fun and you cannot leave without trying multiple. Food is fabulous, tons off options for dietary requirements. If your looking for a catch up, meeting friends or a gathering this is the place for you. See less

Great service! Perfectly seasoned dishes! The truffle fries was salty & savory I wanted to have 3 orders. Wagyu Pinchos was so yummm especially with that spicy sauce! This dish in itself is already enough to fill you up! The only thing that was underwhelming was the Angus Ramp cap. It was impeccably cooked but the meat in itself seemed really tough. Don’t leave without trying the gin! The waiters do a great job educating you! See less

Located at the city end of Lonsdale Street next to Hopscotch, Tipsy Bull is so much better than its location and name suggests. Food is share plates, and the menu choices range from oysters, calamari and truffle fries right up to main meals of snapper, chicken and risotto. Serves are bigger than expected and the food was superb. But the real star here is the gin experience – they have 230 on offer and each gin comes on a paddle loaded with ice, botanicals, tonic and instructions for how to build your perfect drink. If the list overwhelms, the staff here know all about the gins and will quickly direct you to your perfect tipple. See less
