Takeaway order of bao burger, katsu curry, veggie tempura and dumplings. Bao burger had so much sauce and not a lot of chicken. Would need to eat 3 to be full which I didn’t expect with the title burger. Curry good value at $9.90 and way more chicken than the burger… dumplings tasty however no sauce provided with them. Tempura decent but again no sauce and 6 small pieces for $12. Potential but not something I will race back for. See less

Bought takeaway traditional bubble tea cup! It was the most disgusting drink I have ever had. Couple of powder not mixing well with no tea. Had a sip and it went into the bin! Disappointed 😞 See less

Ashamedly addicted to all their miso eggplant dishes! Perfectly cooked, not too sweet, not too oily, good quality eggplant ( i.e. not a bunch of eggplant seeds) and great simple fresh Japanese flavours. Pickles are the perfect accompaniment. Rice cooked well. Packaged with care. Better than other miso eggplant dishes from other sources I've tried. Also open late! See less

This place is awesome. And the man at the bar was so lovely. We watched him say hi and bye to everyone and was so attentive given how busy things get during a night out. The three restaurants in one thing is pretty cool. Food is very well presented and comes out efficiently. I could eat and drink all night here and then finish strong with dessert. See less

I got some take away from here. Initially the Katsu King chicken burger was really tasty, and it was served on a rice bun. The bun was good and the chicken pretty tasty. Not wanting 2 burgers I ordered some katsu chicken baos. Well I thought I did but I only got 1 bao which was ok, but it was exactly the same as the burger so not the best value. The veggie gyoza were tasty, the takoyaki was alright, and the miso soup quite tasty. The cheesy tofu bento was a good vegetarian dish, and this was worth ordering. The salmon oishi is blow torched so nicely, served with this amazing sauce on top. You know its good when I do not want to share the dish with anyone and have it all for myself. There is ample seating area on both levels and a nice bar downstairs See less

I discovered this place in the heart of Richmond, and it has been four times that my palate has feasted on its delicious dishes (Japanese tapas) that combine different flavors, aromas and colors. Everything I have tasted is delicious, from the potato chips that have a special flavor, through the chicken, gyosas, salads, to their specialty that is Shushi. As in any Japanese restaurant, I always hope the staff is friendly, and this restaurant is not the exception: its waitresses are too friendly, clean and fair. See less
