The urban bean is a great place to eat! The burgers are bigger than you expect and taste awesome too! The chefs really know what they’re doing. The staff are friendly and the hot chocolate is always a good choice no matter what time of day it is and nobody can tell me otherwise! See less

Love this place- staff are friendly and accommodating to even the most tricky coffee orders. Coffee is always perfect and food is excellent. Urban bean is a cafe located in the public service area of woden and the prices reflect that as a burger chips and a drink will cost you close to $30.00 chips are unsalted. It has plenty of seating the floor space is usually dirty staff are okay I waited to order for about 10 mins and got ignored. If you do get a meal you will be waiting close to 30 mins each time for food. Coffee is a hit and a miss some days it's cold others it's piping hot. Over all i would say try it out for yourself but it wouldn't be my go to place but due to a limited time break at work it's the closest you can get. See less

Some of the best coffee in the Woden region. Sometimes the waits can be a little long but being surrounded by office buildings it can be quiet one minute and inundated the next. Bring your own keep Cup for a 50 cents discount on your coffee. See less

Baristas are very friendly! Had lovely little chats with them. Coffee is nice, and food is lovely! Sometimes the wait is a little long (they may forget your food), and food is a little expensive, but its quality. See less

Today I was served by a very polite young man. He was commendable. However, it is at that point that everything else failed him. I feel sorry for employees like him because he is not supported by other staff member. Their lack of politeness and sense of entitlement undermines the efforts of colleagues. I still encourage everyone to go to the cafe because they have great coffee. But I ask staff to be mindful of how much more business they could generate if they improved on their customer service. The only difference between one cafe and another equally good coffee is the customer service. See less

A wonderful place to grab breakfast or lunch. Gets busy for lunch as it services the government departments around it. A very dynamic menu that presents a variety of exciting items. The burgers, the pastas, the salads are fantastic! Great coffee, too! Friendly and fun staff. Perfecto! See less

It's been a good place for coffee and breakfast close to office. Nice food, great service and friendly staff. Never had any issues on egg bacon roll. Apparently Jo's roll has egg(s) and it's more than mine. I will give a one star and make complaint if I can't get the same next time. lol. See less

Pretty expensive (which is the norm for cafes in Woden), long queues in the morning, no point really going in. With so many cafes in the area you may as well just go into the cafe with the shortest queue, because they're all pretty average on the coffee and steep on the price. Also, because this one is so popular, you get a very "serving the masses" kind of experience. I personally prefer the less popular cafe around the corner, sure, it's still expensive, but you get more personal service and feel more like a person rather than a number. See less

Staff are really nice. Food is ok. Chips are often soft and not crispy. Kitchen closes too early. They close at 2pm so if you get Three o'clock-itis, you couldn't really get anything from here See less
