Lovely setting in the gorgeous nursery. Love all of the outdoor dining. Could use more vegan options for sure. Staff is always friendly. Great place for mum catch ups after school drop off. See less

Let’s catch up, we said. Let’s have brunch, we said. Let’s go to Wild Canary, we said, so we did. This café is set in wonderful, leafy grounds, surrounded by trees and bamboo groves. Staff were friendly and efficient (and they actually take your order; unheard of these days) and welcoming. We had cappuccino, and a soy latte and a strawberry milkshake. Hubby said his milkshake wasn’t cold enough (a common complaint) and it wasn’t big enough for him. Coffees were fine, neither here nor there. I ate a delicious, moist, well-sized duck leg with lentils, and beetroot kraut and grilled peach. So tasty and so filling. Really good duck leg! Hubby chose a croque monsieur with mushroom and pumpkin, and a side salad. All good, though he couldn’t discern the truffled béchamel. Miss M. had Gardeners breakfast – a very hearty way to start the day. She had sausage, and eggs, and halloumi and beetroot and beans and mushrooms and sourdough toast. And don’t forget the bacon steak! We really enjoyed the service, the atmosphere, and the food. Shame about the pouring rain, which meant we had to get up and leave, rather than have another coffee. Ah well, next time. See less

Tucked nicely in the Brookfield Garden Centre, a lovely spot for lunch. I visited with friends on a Sunday with no appetite, which was lucky because they were packed. So, instead we had ginger beer and sat in a garden outside. Staff were pleasant. After our pitstop we wandered around the garden store for a few minutes. A perfectly pleasant place to spend some time on a relaxed Sunday. See less

We go there quite regularly. We love it. The menu is not extensive but the quality is excellent. Very healthy and very artistic presentation. Friendly knowledgeable staff. See less

Super cute place for lunch, great ambiance, but kinda overpriced for what it is. Food is ok. Lots of lizards hanging out around the place. See less

I have been here before and enjoyed the food with the beautiful surroundings. Ordered the pea souffle for something different. Came out looking beautiful on the plate, however the souffle was lacking in flavour (couldn't identify any herbs, lacked seasoning). Less than hour later, I was hungry again. Looking at other photos from reviews of this dish, it seems I got short changed as there is a lot less on my plate compared with other photos. So not feeling happy now, considering this was $26. If you want a light lunch, order this. However, if you want to feel pleasantly satiated, order another staple-like dish with protein with coffee (coffee suppresses appetite!). (My review might seem harsh as I regularly cook these sorts of dishes at home as a norm). I love Wild Canary, but felt quite short changed by this dish. See less

Very friendly staff, gorgeous setting and food to die for. I had a house made meat pie, the pastry was buttery and flaky, the meat so tender, incredible flavour, one of the best pie I haver had. highly recommended See less

A beautiful setting with delicious food and absolutely amazing cakes. Despite having a big breakfast we had to try the cakes that were rated so highly and I'm glad we did. So glad that we got extra pieces to take home. The pear pistachio cake looks a little messy when cut due to the moist fruit in the cake and multiple layers but it tasted amazing. We can't wait to visit again and bring friends. See less

My husband and I are fans of Wild Canary for life. We had our wedding at Wild Canary, a small intimate affair and it was the perfect day. Event coordinators Kate and Claire were superb. From the first time we walked in to meet them, we knew we were in good hands and they were people who actually cared about us as a couple and got to know us, not just another number to push through like some of the other venues we looked at. They were so easy to work with, responsive, accomodating and helped us through every step of the way. Wild Canary also shared a lot of our values, for example cutting down on waste and emissions, and they take their food seriously - not only is everything incredibly delicious, but is sourced locally and some of it even grown in their kitchen garden! We've watched the kitchen staff on several occasions come out to the garden and snip some herbs and greens, so we know that it's not just lip service. We married underneath the gorgeous epic Morton Bay fig tree, surrounded by flowers by the incomparable Lynn at Fig Flowers. The service the day of the wedding was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the cake - oh the cake. Stunningly decorated and it tasted even better. All the guest were saying that it was not only the best wedding cake they've ever had, but the best cake, period, they've ever had. Every detail was perfect and we owe it all to them. We cannot thank them enough. If you're thinking about having your wedding at Wild Canary - or even just going for brunch (have I mentioned that the food is incredible?) you will not regret it. Taste wise, amazing food, couldn’t have asked for more in that aspect! The cake is also beautifully decorated and is an absolute stunner. However, as a previous review stated, the service wasn’t the best as we experienced a similar situation where we were basically told to go along our merry way when the waiter just took our plates without even asking if we were done. If you don’t mind being rushed off, it’s a great place :) See less

Concept and ambience is good... and the food certainly is instagrammable but food needs a little bit of attention. Waffles tasted dry and premade. Jackfruit pie did not taste like jackfruit. Pork belly was chewy and the skin not crispy. Having said that I will return because I love a cafe attached to a garden nursery. See less
