Went to Wild Yak the week after Lockdown 4.0 ended and it was a great re-introduction into dining out again. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, even making a dhal specifically for my 8 month old son to eat (minimal salt etc). The restaurant became quite busy later on and even though there was only one front of house staff, he had time to engage with my son and chat with us, never making us feel like he was in a rush or super busy in any way. The food was great, we had the Set A menu and it was a generous amount of food that was flavoursome and filling. Highly recommend for the food and the exceptional service! See less

Came here on a Wednesday night for momo night, where you get 4x2 different variety of momos to try and a bowl of soup for $15. I think the beef one was the best, so in the future, I'd rather spend $15 for 9 momos as the soup didn't have anything inside, just broth. See less

Tried Wild Yak for the first time through UberEats after passing it countless times in person. I was first drawn in by the promise of momos and further impressed by their extensive and unique vegetarian options. In addition to the 4 piece veg momo set (which only come fried but are absolutely delicious that way) I also got two vegetable dishes - the delightfully sweet and sour honey and lemon vegetables and the mushrooms and vegetables cooked with cheese. I didn’t know what to expect from the dairy but it was melted through the dish and gave it a creamy, garlicky essence. Coconut rice and a steamed bun rounded out the meal. It arrived quickly, was very reasonably priced and tasted great. See less

Perhaps the only Tibetan restaurant in Northcote and they know what they are doing. A combination of great and calming atmosphere, attentive service, and of course delicious authentic foods makes this place a must visit. The prices are also towards the affordable end. See less
