I have been frequenting Windy Point for years and something has changed. I booked online and then called to ask about the changes in menu and if there was any other option than the set menu online. The person who answered was rude and inattentive to what I was asking.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were not welcomed with even a hello, instead we were yelled at and ordered to show our phones and proof of signing in. I stated my phone was flat but my wife had actually signed in. It was at this point the male attendant slammed his fist on the counter and raised his voice that I must complete the written register which I was happy to do. I didn't need him to carry on.
After that we were seated, the waitresses were great, we all got our drinks besides one, who ended up waiting 20 minutes. I understand you pay for the view however the food didn't really live up to previous experiences and the whole vibe was rather lack luster.
Upon paying I was about to enter my pin number and a hand covered the machine, the same male attendant asked me to consider a tip. If I was to get amazing service and the staff had gone above and beyond to help us then I would be most happy. There was no way in hell I was offering any form of tip and the audacity to even ask, delusional.
Needles to say Windy Point has a reputation, one that is quickly dissolving along with its loyal customer base. If you read this review do yourself a favor and try somewhere else. There are many great spots to eat that are eager for business and that quite frankly will treat you a lot better. See less
