Some of the BEST Chinese takeaway I've EVER had! Really suits an Indian's tastebuds with some modifications. The staff is super friendly and accommodating for any changes you want to make. Highly recommend getting the Veggie Stir Fry Noodles with no sugar, no oyster sauce and extra spicy. We loved them so much we went there again the very next day! See less

We are visiting from NSW and visited Sorell after landing at Hobart. Was honestly pleasantly surprised by the quality of Chinese food here! Very authentic and yummy and reasonably priced. See less

Very friendly service. Very reasonable prices. We've only had takeaway, however they have a simple, clean eatery style set up if you would like to eat there. I personally enjoy the Hot Box, great if you like a little spice. Other half likes the Combination special. See less

Such great people! I have got to know all the staff owner and kids well over my many visits. I am amazed by the price and customer service and the quality of the food. I am an ex chef now review guy and I can say the taste, and quality are second to none in Hobart, in my opinion. My partner and I stopped in on the way through to the south east end of Tassie for dinner. Prices were reasonable, but we both found the flavour on our meals a bit average. The spring rolls were decent, as were the prawn dumplings. My partner got the Singapore noodles and I got the chef's special, and neither were real standout options. Reasonable food for the price, filling, but a tad bland and no trace of that "wok kissed" flavour most Chinese noodle bars are renowned for. See less

The special fried rice had HEAPS of meat in it but the rice itself was a little gluggy and fairly bland. What would have been an ok dish though, was really let down by the lack of any fresh vegetables at all!! I saw 3-4 pieces of yummy grated (fresh?) carrot, but the only other vegetables in the dish were frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn kernels and cubes of carrot - yuk and inauthentic). I couldn't believe it when I couldn't even find any fresh onion!! This was a huge disappointment as the shop clearly has a wide range of fresh refrigerated ingredients including veges and meats on display. These are behind glass at the front counter and I saw them being used for what must have been someone else's dish as mine certainly had no fresh broccoli in it!! See less

Sorell doesn't have many lunch time options available. We stopped into Wok Box and got the lunch time special for $9.50. The food is pretty simple and could use some more flavour but it is heaps better than the McDonald's alternative across the road! See less

Tasty and fresh food, good value for money and portion sizes are pleasing. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and let you swap or add ingredients to suit your taste. Best chicken and corn soup I have ever tasted. See less
