All the meat was sour and very stale. The lamb skewers also had a fishy smell, and the seasonings were not enough, which could not cover the rotten taste of the meat that had been placed for several years. The shredded potatoes were also tasteless, each of those was very tough and has a unpalatable taste. The pork intestine noodles was very surprised that it wasn't a spicy soup base but a clear soup with peppery flavor. I have never eaten such disgusting pork intestine noodles. Definitely will never ever come back or let friends visit this horrible restaurant. (The final look of the images was already being modified.. We added some cumin on the skewers, also spicy sauce in the noodles, but unfortunately... Still cannot reduce the horror level of their food) Don't waste your money here! See less

I’ve eaten here numerous times, and it’s always an outstanding experience. I lived in northern China for several years, and this is the only restaurant in Canberra where I can find authentic northern China cuisine, which I love. The food is always excellent, with fast and efficient service. See less

This was a really nice experience. The food tasted authentic and delicious! We got the lamb pulled cumin noodle soup 🍜 and the Set A which was cold noodles (yum) with pork burger + drink. I’m not sure why others rate it poorly as the service model is to go up to the counter and order yourself and then grb your cutleries which we have no issue with. I think others had different expectations? Not a reason to rate it low. We loved it. Will be back. See less

Worst service ever. The staff totally ignored the existence of customers. Strolled around in the restaurant, he (the yellow hair one) didn't even greet customers for ordering. When he served the food to me, he did not even provide any cutlery for me. What should I do to drink this soup? Use my hands? Does this stuff be underpaid? Why he looks so indifferent? Otherwise, you should manage your service quality! See less

As someone that has lived many years in China I think this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in Canberra particularly if you are looking for something a little different from the Cantonese or Shanghai style of cuisine served by most Chinese restaurants in Canberra. Their pork Roujiamo "burgers" with green chili and coriander are really good. I think they also do a really good job on the various noodle dishes I have tried. I was a little disappointed with the Suantangsuijiao "dumplings in sour soup", which is a shame as it one of the dishes I crave the most since coming back from China. Overall this is a restaurant worth coming back to. I am looking forward to working my way through the rest of their menu. Next on the list Liangpi. See less

Worstest dinner experience ever in Canberra. Ordered sugar garlic, fried bread and noodle. The garlic was difficult to eat as the shell still sticking, bread was hard to chew lastly the noodle was taste a rubber, really really disappointed. Would not recommend. See less

Very yummy. Mainly xi'an style food. Hamburger, cold noodle and other noodles are recommended. Rice with chicken is also lovely though it is not a xian style food (It originates from ji'nan I guess). Surely will go back again. See less

Highly recommend the burgers to anyone. Available in beef, pork or lamb the meat was very moist and delicious. Great quality. I had a meal set of a burger, cold noodles and a soft drink. Recently opened 11 Nov so a great start so far. Looking forward to returning. See less
