I asked the man working there whether the food was halal, and he didn't know what that meant? I feel like at the very minimum, people working in food should know some basic dietary requirements, and there are enough people out there (especially in Canberra!) who eat halal to indicate that maybe managers should take a bit more responsibility to educate their staff on the origins of their food. I appreciate that the worker there was very polite to me and apologetic when he found out the food wasn't halal (which is fine if it's not), but restaurants like this need to do better :/ See less
