Who does not love Mexican Food? Where would you get the authenticity in taste if not at the Zapata’s? We are consistent, retain our values and serve you the best every time.
As already mentioned the food is flavorsome and authentic, and the service is excellent. You would never have a bad meal at Zapata’s. We should come back to the great venue, meals, service. In addition, the menu and wine list are always excellent.
When you are here, what must you try?
Guacamole, Salsa and Sour Cream, Burrito Del Mar followed by desserts, Chocolate Donkey, and Flan de Queso and coffees.

Great food with generous portion size and good margaritas.
Unfortunately the elderly gentleman who served us (I’m sure he was the owner or manager) was quite rude. It’s seems like he has over it and needs to move on or retire.
Very little pleasantries and dumping plates in front of us with no care was unusual.
The venue is an authentic Mexican restaurant and could really be a great experience if the service is better. See less

First of all , I'm not a lover of Mexican food so my rating is tainted , but my grandchildren wanted to eat Mexican & they liked it there .

I do not know how they can call themselves Mexican. No flavour whatsoever. There was some sort of meat paste? Not sure what was going on.
This was one of the most awful tasting meals we have tried. We had to throw it all away after a bite of each meal.
Please do yourself a favour and give this place a BIG miss.

Sad. Waited 35 minutes for a takeaway ordered before there was anyone even in the restaurant. When enquired at 30 minute mark said 'busy with uber's'. Rubbish! Only 2 uber orders came out in the time I sat. Then I received a soggy microwave mess. Out of sight, out of mind I guess! See less

The food is great, however the service provided by the manager / owner of this establishment is not friendly at all. We only asked him where were our meals at... as we had a fringe show to go to and we were already waiting for a while.
We just needed to plan how quickly we had to leave to make it to the show on time considering that we had a couple of elderly family membersthat could not move too quickly.. Simple question we made, and the response was angry and bully and I would rather never come back. See less

My friends have been having celebrations here for years. The food is always amazing, we have never needed to send anything back. Portion sizes are very decent.
The fantastic thing for groups is the way they do split bills, never had an easier experience with making sure the bill is all paid. See less

Pretty average in the food department, think your primary schools friend’s mum’s home Mexican cooking. Not as good as your mum makes it.
Decor is kind of cool but a bit tired.
Pricing is pretty expensive, food sizes are generous, especially the nachos but left feeling like we could have made better at home.
Definitely get a Margherita or two, pretty solid here but not much else to write about. See less

The vibrant decor and customer service was on point. She provided us with suggestions and offered us insights on the popular dishes.

The worst restaurant I have ever seen. The waitress tried to turn the boiler on but she failed. Then she just left without any explanation or apology, and we had not idea about what was going on. We waited for 5 mins and asked another waitress about this and she told me that there is no fuel left in the boiler, and they can change another one if I want to.
This is ridiculous, I paid for both the food and the service, this is not what I want you to do, this is what you should do. Should you change another boiler immediately when you failed to turn it on? Imagine this, can I just leave without paying the fee until you ask me? And then can I tell you that I can pay you if you want to?
We stayed there for another 5 mins, took the food away, and left, since the dish was already getting cold. Really bad service. I will never recommend this restaurant to others. See less

A great example of Mexican cuisine and probably the best I've experienced in Adelaide, so many average Mexican restaurants in Adelaide. Food was brought out pretty quick and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is very Mexican and abit of a cosy feeling as well and would be nice to come for a meal on a cold winters night. Probably best to book on Friday or Saturday nights as it is abit of a pokey restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable and the serves generous. They also have a great selection of local Mexican beers which I enjoyed trying a couple of different beers I haven't tried before. Definitely worth a try 👍 See less
