lovely staff but I had the fried chicken at the Chinese New Year held at Marrara and the chicken coating was so hard it was like chewing a rock my teeth hurt and it just wouldn't break down I had to peel off the skin and throw it away and only eat the meat which sucks because the skin is always meant to be the best part See less

I came for their buffet because my friend recommend this a lot of times, but this restaurant doesn't have buffet anymore please noted. I call them 2 times for booking a 4:30pm table at 3pm but no one answer the phone.Then I booked table online at 3:15pm and they call me back at 6pm and reply confirm email at 7pm, not good service. I have been here for several times. I would never get enough with their Korean Fried Chicken - Soy Garlic Sauce. The best Korean restaurant in Darwin. Their service was lovely too. I would love to recommend their food to everyone who is looking for Korean Food. See less

Tonight I had the wagyu beef steak that is on $15 special menu. Can't believe how perfectly cooked and juicy it was! I can't remember when the last time I had steak this great and CHEAP! Zzan always been my favorite dinner to go. Their food is amazing and my favorites are the soy garlic KFFC, the bibimbap and salt&pepper squid. The Best! 👍👍 See less

The Asian stuff is kindly 🙂 But.. I don’t think this is Korean BBQ. ($49 per person and minimum two people) What we could eat is only spicy chicken 🐔 If you come here for enjoying BBQ outside,, maybe good hah The taste .. I want to put one star.. See less

We have been eating out at a lot of our local food spots during this little road bump in life and the food has been great. However we couldn’t not review the meal we just had at Zzan’s. Easily the best of the fried chickens in town. The Vietnamese salad was off the charts and their occy balls bloody delicious. Well played Zzan. See less

Overall our little group had a lovely experience at Zzan. The waiter was really thoughtful and respectful. The atmosphere was lovely. It was relaxed and comfortable, exactly what I was after. As rush hour had passed, the food arrived promptly after ordering. The dishes were all wonderful. The portions were good for their prices (I even had leftovers). The dishes were filling and the wonderful flavours meant you don't get tired of the food after a few bites. The food was healthy and tasty. An indication of their quality was seen with the food I took home. When finished off the next day, the container was not oily! To me, this showed that they are not just coating their food in copious amounts of oil to enhance flavour. Also, I wasn't super thirsty as I can sometimes be after consuming Asian food, which may have lots of additives. Zzan lets the ingredients speak for themselves. Anyway, this is my first time to Zzan. Good venue by the marina, nice place to sit and watch the weather roll in. Delicious meals for those who choose well - I lucked it in with the vegie bowl with optional spicy pork. It came with rice and a fried egg, a complete meal for me. Others had to order extra rice or vegies if desired..at extra cost. Beers are available, in bottles plus a few on tap, as well as mixed drinks. Not sure about wines and ciders. Regular customers would come here for good food, relaxed atmosphere and the waterfront dining experience..not 'fine-dining'. Plenty of parking available nearby, but it's in a popular area at popular times. It fronts the marina, not the street, but easy to find if you look. See less

We Ordered a Sweet and sour dish. It was just dry crunchy lumps which often had no meat that you could find. With a small amount of sauce in the middle of dish. I very rarely walk away from a $29 meal but we couldn’t eat it. We went elsewhere and got dinner. No offer of discount despite me saying how I found the food. Apart from our food experience I have to say the waitress was a 5 star, she was really lovely and apologetic. See less

It was a new experience to try the Korean menu and we were not disappointed with the food. The idea of a bbq at the table is novel and certainly cooked to our liking the slivers of marinated beef, chicken, pork belly and a good variety of vegetables. The little gas bbq played up at first but once fixed, did the job nicely. The service was a little slow but it was a busy Saturday night. Although the bbq items were brought to the table promptly, a second dish we ordered afterwards did take a long time to come. There is no dessert menu but there is a delightful icecream place just around the corner where we purchased cups of icream beads. They were a delicious end to a very tasty night! See less

Food was enjoyable, but very overpriced for what you get. Wagyu didn't taste or appear as wagyu either. Would have expected rice to be inclusive being a Korean/Japanese fusion restaurant & when paying $50 per person for a very small "banquet". $3 per serving is very steep for steamed rice. Still a relatively new restaurant so there's bound to be some teething problems. Might visit again down the track but there would certainly need to be some improvements first. Hope you guys can work on these issues and improve. Service was very friendly, cannot fault the girls who were working hard to wait on a full outdoor area. I also think it'd be wise to create a drinks menu. Usually the first thing a lot of people like to peruse and decide. See less
