First time patronage, went with a group of workmates and ordered a variety of dishes. We had the lamb shanks, lamb kebabs, chicken on rice, dips/bread, stewed beef (or lamb?) in a green sauce, iranian tea, backlava and the saffron pistachio ice-cream. I loved every mouthful of everything I ate. The meat was tender, soft and well cooked. From the charcoaled kebabs to the chicken and then the ice-cream, it was great. Would definitely be introducing and bringing friends to this place. The atmosphere was very homely with the rugs on the floor/couches on the side tables and welcoming, very much set-up for a family style gathering and meal. My only criticism is the dishes came with far too much rice and although very flavourful, was a little too salty for my liking and also a shame to have so much leftover. Price wise, I would say it's a little on the expensive side. Definitely more suited for a special occasion. See less

Its hard to put down in words to say thanks to AliQapu restaurant and team. Had my 10th anniversary few days ago and perhaps one of the best night of my life. Hospitality of staff, quality of service and food, quality of sound system, cleanness and tidiness of the venue were simply the best. The high ceiling, elegant décor, a balcony outside for smoking people (not in the middle of street) are some other positive observations. Many of our friends are very interested to run a same event in there in near future. Thanks again AliQapu See less

One of the best, if not the best Persian restaurant in Australia. The staff are amazing and the owner is exceptional and looks after all of the patrons, providing a unique, welcoming and homely experience. The quality of the food is always excellent and the portions are great. Cannot fault anything and highly recommend. See less
