Not a true "a la carte" but it's as close as you will find in a modern restaurant. Plus they don't actually claim to be a la carte. Very friendly staff & good waiting times for meals, specially when busy. Prices are average, not high nor low. Regular specials for discounted meals make the prices even better. Had a great Breaky roll this morning. Bacon wasn’t crunchy as advertised in menu but it was delicious. Heaps of seating right on The Esplande across from the beach. Nice friendly service too. Prices reflect the average of the area. Upon paying you do get told the total which doesn’t then include the credit card fee you pay, in case that’s important to you. See less

Worst coffee ever. Got a take away soy flatwhite. Couldn’t believe the awful taste. Never had a bad coffee like that in my life. We’d walked away from the restaurant and was in rush. Otherwise would have come back and ask for refund. The coffee went to the rubbish bin straightaway. See less

Popped in for dinner, thought I give this place a go. Had a beautiful Angus Rump Steak that was on special. It was better than what I expected. It was so delicious. Totally recommend it and definitely be back for more. Service from the staff was 👍👍👍🙂🙂 See less

THE BEST! Thank you to Bronwyn & the crew at Elston's. During our week long stay in Surfer's, my husband, father, other friends and I dined at Elston SIX times. It became our go-to during our whole trip. We shared many beautiful dinners and lunches together, and I enjoyed a few solo breakfast's looking out at the incredible ocean directly in front. Their menu is amazing (tofu tacos, I had them 4 times, my husband had the ribs 3 times) and the service is just as memorable. Nothing was a problem and after a long day in the hinterland one of our last evenings we knew where to go. A quiet, relaxed evening with the food we had come to love & the people we had come to know, we enjoyed our time so much. We have already told friends who are on their way to GC this week. Can't wait to come back, it's just a no brainer now for every meal! See less

Wow! The food here is amazing! We found this place on our last night here sadly, otherwise we would have eaten here every night! The chicken cashew salad special (pictured) was so delicious, the flavours were amazing together and it was so fresh. The boys had burgers which they both loved, and the kids burger my daughter had was even amazing - she was so excited it didnt fall apart, and she said it was delicious. The staff were great - really prompt service by friendly staff, great atmosphere and the prices definitely reflect the quality of the food. Cant go past it. See less

After spending 10 days on the GC and sampling some of the breakfast and lunch offerings in Cavill mall we are so glad we found Elston Restaurant & Bar, just wish we found it sooner. Eggs Benny were AMAZING, knocked it out of the park, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the Benedict sauce was probably the best we have had, the breakfast Tacos with a side of bacon hit the spot. We had dinner here last night. The Customer service was first class. We were made to feel so very welcome. Super friendly & extremely helpful especially as I have food allergies. Steak was the best I've had in any place we've eaten around the world. Hubby had the Ribs & he just devoured them. The service could’ve been a little bit better. Few happy faces around but fair enough, the world sux and people are genuinely having a hard time. Great to see this business hasn’t closed its doors permanently like various other businesses around Surfers Paradise. Well done. The business owner must be doing something right to hold onto the very thing he’s worked hard for. Food was the best part of our experience this morning. The blend of flavours was tasteful and the presentation of food speaks for itself in the 2 photos. The chefs did a great job. Decent sized portions with fair and reasonable pricing. We’d visit again.
