Very homey and welcoming small cafe. You walk in and feel as if you've been invited to a get together with friends. The wait staff were lovely and the service was quick, only having to wat 10-20min for our 5 meals.
I got the Mushroom Medley which was one of their vegetarian options. There was a crispy warm slice of sourdough bread underneath this beautiful savoury mouth-watering heap of mushrooms and fried lotus. The mushrooms were soft and bouncy while having an amazing earthy taste, whilst the lotus provided a nice crunch. The toast had hummus, spread on it, which in my opinion was a little too much, a little less would have really enhanced the flavour of the dish rather than try to be the star of the show. Other than the dish was a well balanced vegetarian meal which I would highly recommend to anyone going.
A highlight of Humble Creatures is their beautiful fries, the chips were exquisite compared to other places I have been. They were seasoned with just the right amount of salt and spices and had this nice bite to it.
Overall, the cafe is a place I would highly recommend for familes, dates or even just to stop by and much worth the drive our if you don't live in the area. See less
