Rude service initially. We all ordered the same thing, and we got a smile. Food came out quick, and the ramen was pretty tasty; the chicken was a highlight. The bamboo in the ramen was gross, and I pushed it aside. See less

In my 3 years living in Sydney I have never had such an upsetting experience. We went for lunch with my girlfriend, the food was good, especially the bento box, the chefs were very quick to send us the food. The problem? the hostess / waitress. I mean it sincerely and I don't want to hurt someone, because it is hers, her job, and all I hope is that the owner / manager talks to her. But, I can't pass up this experience either. The woman was very unpleasant, I don't know if she is her nature, she discriminated against us or she had a bad day. We can all have bad days, but I, as a customer in a restaurant, do not have to tolerate bad attitudes. The woman, during our lunch, was dedicated to hitting EVERYTHING, she was incredibly brutal, like when a child wants to attract attention. When she took our order, I asked a question regarding the menu to which she only responded with "NO!" almost yelling at me, without giving me options, her attitude was very strange. At that time I did not care. She kept hitting everything, when I left an empty plate she ran to get it off the table, passing her body and arm over our faces, without her wanting to say "permission" or "I take your plates away from you?" She continued in the same way until we left. It has been the most unpleasant experience I have had eating in Australia. I wouldn't write this if it weren't for the fact that she was really extremely unpleasant (see my reviews, I generally write to congratulate). Thanks to the chefs, the food was good. *this happened on 8/5/21, around 2:45pm See less

Atmosphere is warm and peaceful. While the restaurant is busy people are enjoying the delicious food with a dignity and respect for those around. The owners are welcoming and make the meal exceptional. See less

*Very authentic Japanese restaurant *Incredibly generous portions - ordered the tsukemmen which probably could’ve fed two people. Nigiri was also very generous with the amount of fish served on the rice. *Food was tasty *Very friendly and accomodating service See less

Highly recommended. It's a small spot with delicious Japanese food. The bento box has a great variety and is excellent value for money. The ramen was quite nice too. I will come back again. I can understand the service being a bit slow when it is busy but it was otherwise very good. See less

One of a handful of Japanese restaurants in the suburbs that are run by Japanese people, Kibuna is serving up generously portioned meals that met all my flavour expectations. In addition, they are kid friendly and have various specials available. See less

Superb ramen, a well tossed salad, crispy and meaty softshell crab and a yuzushu that brought back memories of bar hopping in Japan. This is my new favourite Japanese restaurant. A bit out of the way for me, but definitely returning. See less

Service was poor and food unfortunately was below average for me. Upon entry we were left standing and had to go in to get the shop attendant who directed us back out to do the covid scan. Once we finished the covid scan we were left at the front and weren't sure if we would be directed to a seat or had to look for our own seat. Once seated I got the sashimi platter for two and to be honest the platter did not come out as per the menu (look wise). The menu also didn't specify how many pieces or what fish you would get and when it came out It seemed like just an assortment of fish which they were trying to get rid of which was unacceptable for $60. The sashimi also wasn't very fresh. I also gave the ramen a try which was okay but nothing amazing. I had upsized the ramen and there just wasn't enough soup. See less

すごいね! Authentic Japanese ramen joint with Japanese chef. The kind of place you'd find just off the main streets of most Japanese cities. In addition to ramen and udon there's a small daily selection of seasonal sushi and sashimi, plus Japanese beers and sake. See less

I had really high expectations for this place but it was a let down. The ramen came out lukewarm and the egg that came with it was so poorly done. It’s an alright place If you’re just craving Japanese flavours but if you want great food, this ain’t it. See less

Delicious food, friendly service, reasonably priced. It is a sure bet when there is a line out the door waiting to dine in.I was lucky to arrive early enough so I didn't have to wait too long. The salmon sashimi was fresh (9 good sized pieces for $15) and good value. The ramen was the star of the show with a nice strong flavoured pork broth and firm noodles. The addition on 3 gyoza pieces add-on for a side dish was just the right size. Highly recommend! See less
