Hidden GEM! Saturday lunch at Sapori Italiani restaurant Chevron Island an amazing dining and eating experience.
Patricia our waitress was very energetic and informative regarding all the dishes, extremely helpful in getting us quickly settled in for lunch. The restaurant is away from the busy main street of Chevron Island.
We ordered bruschetta straight up, whilst we decided on our mains. Thankfully all four of us had different dishes, so naturally sampled everything.
Risotto Pescatora – such fresh, subtle flavours, if you like seafood do not miss this one.
Pork Rolle – please experience this dish, served with pumpkin, potato, broccoli, with a rosemary sauce. (picture below).
Alfredo Tortellini – perfect for lunch, Sicilian style, so no heavy creams, egg and cheese making the cream sauce super light and tasty.
Fettucine with Napoli and sausage – the sausages with fennel and a Napoli sauce, sooooo yummy.
They did not need to wash the dishes all of us cleaned our plates. Two of us shared a McLaren Vale Shiraz (Four Southern Boys), whilst the others had sav blanc and peroni.
The flavours in each dish where subtle, light, packed with flavour and delicious. Shall be making this our regular Italian restaurant. We then went for a short walk across the bridge to HOTA where we went to the matinee of The Wedding Singer. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday. See less
