Delicious Thai food here in South Melbourne! Very local and my favourite was the Khao Soi! Would recommend anyone who is in the area to stop by and get a bite. There is also some Northern Thai influences. See less

Just tried thai deli for some takeaway after their recent renovations. The food was incredible!! I loved every dish I had. The highlight was the 3 flavour fish fillets. The food was a little more expensive than other Thai places in the area, but the quality of the food really makes it worth it. My family is looking forward to dining in next time. See less

Had delivery from here, restaurant was quick (but uber delivery awful). We had the papaya salad which was delicious, vegetarian dimsums and vegetarian queen of Siam basil stir fry. A hidden gem! I walked in thinking just another Thai takeaway and walked out a happy man with tummy full of amazing food. The flavours are on point and excellent portion size. Got 5 prawns on the second pad Thai Good value, great staff & excellent prices. Gonna be my new regular shop See less

I didn't like the food from the previous owners, but this is really good. After trying all the thai places in south melbourne, port melbourne and albert park, i have now found one I like.The staples - beef and basil and mussaman curry were just what we liked. Tender meat too. Thankyou!! See less

Not sure about the previous comment about the Pad Thai but every time I've ordered the same dish it has been amazing!! The Tofu Salad is also incredible for anyone who is vegetarian, I have no idea how they've made a salad taste so delicious. Amazingly humble couple that are generous with their portions and the price is always affordable. Best Thai hands down. See less

Thai Deli is not the spiffiest looking place but what it lacks in look, it makes up in delicious, affordable and fuss-free food. Run by a friendly husband and wife team, you’ll be assured down-to-earth and welcoming hospitality here. All the dishes we ordered shared a common trait – bold flavours that excite your tastebuds. The Seafood Tom Yum was a hearty and tasty dish, showcasing a mix of sweet, savoury, sour and spicy. The Beef Salad was slightly on the sweeter side, but the abundance of fresh greens helped balance it out. The Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Pad See Ew both were characterised by aromatic and piquant flavours, and executed really well. While not completely authentic, you can’t deny that the dishes here are tasty and when the food is delicious, sometimes it’s all that matters. See less

We have been coming here for the past 4 years and the quality has been consistently amazing. Pad see ew, pad thai and the beef salad are our go to because it's just so damn tasty. Serving size is more than generous and prices are very cheap. About $9-14 a meal. Food comes out fast and there seating out the back Most restaurants can learn a lot from these owners. Their customer service is impeccable. Service is always with a smile. Support a local! Highly recommended. The best thai in south Melbourne !! See less
