We held our 'Happily Ever After- Wedding Party' at the George. Travis and his staff were amazing. They made sure the area was ready for us and helped us with anything we needed. Highly recommend the George for any events you may have :) See less

Had Beef Vindaloo and it came out cold and just looked and tasted like Irish stew. Just get normal pub food as they don't know what Indian food is. They do good fish and chips etc. See less

A great feed for lunch with the family after visiting Cockington Green. Instantly when walking into the premises, I feel like I was back in the UK in a traditional English pub, the place looks great. 👌 The food was great also and a good selection in the menu. Well presented and tasted good. The family friendly part threw me a little bit, we were kind of hoping to see a kids playground within, but could only see a small section for kids which had some old toys and blocks in there. The kids high chairs need some TLC; we used some wipes on them before we used one and the amount of dirt/grime we wiped off was gross. See less

Nice old English pub style but can get very busy. Food was good and pretty quick compared to the amount of patrons there on a Sunday. Plenty of parking across the road and you can reserve tables for lunch. Live music on a Sunday. Great outdoor areas and good for families. A few people also brought their dogs as well. See less

English pub, pub food, good beer with an atmosphere to match. I feel The George is a bit of an institution. Great building with enough areas to suit what your after and the occasional band. Food wise is above expectations, you really shouldn't go too wrong. The only downside is its a little far out so make sure someone is driving. If your after some pub grub and a few drinks you can't go past The George. See less

Time they spent funds on sealing the dirt carpark! Food was fantastic and great sizes as well. Group booking, sat inside, if tight spaces aren't your thing then I recommend sitting outside instead if it's warm enough. This place is mega old in Canberra standards, easy access from Barton Hwy and nice if you are in Gungahlin. See less

Used to be my favourite pub. Still has live music and good beers. However, the food is terrible. Worst chips in Canberra. Kids didn’t even get through half of them. Also avoid the salt and pepper squid. See less

A very nice, family friendly pub. They have a nice selection of food and beers available and the kids had a great time running around. I will have to try and book a table next to their very toasty fireplace in the winter time. See less

Gotta admit, i was quite impressed with the food we received at the George Harcourt. i had the pepper squid and thoroughly enjoyed both the flavor, size and expediency. The other meals we ordered looked good and we were all happy. I've never been here before so can't judge them anymore than on this one event. If they're consistent in the kitchen, you will be happy too. See less

Edit: On second thoughts I feel this deserves 5 well earned stars. I like bringing the family to The George Harcourt Inn. It’s a nice place to hang out for all ages and they have got a variety of seating both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is lively and sometimes it can get a bit loud depending on where you are sitting and how happy the people around you are. We got a nice peaceful place inside. The food was very satisfying and tasty, especially the awesome wings. Portions were generous and well presented. Service was reasonable and the wait at the bar not too long. Toilets are reasonable, however the chairs were a bit rickety and clean ups a bit slow. Overall the experience was good. Would I go back....The answer is definitely a Yes! See less
