Beautiful food in a pleasant location. Our breakfast roll and mushrooms on toast made for a delicious and filling brunch. My cold brew coffee was refreshing and full of pleasant, subtle flavours. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when choosing a take away bag of ground coffee. See less

Food is nice but not kid friendly. Seating upstairs is okay, if you're having a cuppa, but not to eat. Sitting outside is very hot and sunny or cold and freezing. Coffee is good. Parking is tight and illegal. I think this place needs to be redesigned and the menu reworked. Good luck with it. See less

A very popular place … was lucky to find a table, but best to make an advance reservation if aiming for weekend breakfasting. Great coffee, and an interestingly original menu. Very tasty, with unsurpassed quality and flavors, although a little on the pricy side. See less

Some of the best customer service anywhere. We arrived (unintentionally) 2 mins before closing. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were able to order takeaway including food. Our food arrived including nuts which I am allergic too (our mistake it is on the menu). The staff and chef made the meal again for us without the nuts and took it to where we were sitting well after closing time. Will go out of our way to go back! Thank you :D See less

Just a bit of feedback. I had a sit-in coffee today for the first time for ages. Coffee as good as always but the cups without handles, although attractive, do not make it easy to drink a large long black. The cup is volcano hot and stays that way for some considerable time, even after the coffee is at drinkable temperature. Any chance of a cup/mug with handle for us black coffee drinkers at least? This place was soooo good!!! The food is high quality, the staff were attentive and the location is lovely. The windows were open so a refreshing breeze was coming through from the nearby water. Gorgeous! Really nice place to be. We had the ricotta pancakes (with a hash brown) and the avocado on eggs. So good! See less

The food and service is always great, but what's also always consistent is the sticky tables. I don't know what cleaning product they use, but it makes the tables very sticky, so if you're resting your arms on the tables remember to lift them up every so often. One time part of my napkin got stuck on the table because it was so stuck down. Good food atleast, questionable table quality though. See less

First impressions, I liked the service. Only time for a quick coffee and I wasn't disappointed. Very open inside and great views of the Lake. The menu looked very inviting so I will be back for more. Will done and I loved reading the "collective" history. See less

Wonderful! Coffee was excellent and the french toast is the best I've had in Canberra! Update: just had the"loaded toast" breakfast... Amazing. I've never said this before but I think it was the best breakfast I've had in Canberra. Wish I had taken a picture. See less

Great menu and service, food was lovely also. Does get a little busy, even on weekdays given all the office buildings etc in the area. Perfect place to grab a coffee / breakfast after a walk around the lake. I had eggs on toast with bacon and it was lovely! There is a small kids playground about 50m away, but it’s out of sight from the tables. Definitely a recommend from me however! See less
